In the Shop Again..... 6th time in 2years.....

Pros:
Gas mileage is pretty good if you got the 4 cylinder....That's about it though....This is basic truck transportation, if you don't expect much you will not be dissappointed.
Cons:
Very long list, I don't know where to begin. If you like traveling in comfort stay away from this truck. It has never been comfortable. It isn't pretty either, never really was. I have always thought whoever designed the truck was on some very strong narcotics, and whoever put the design into production was on the really good stuff. This has to be one of the most unreliable, malfuncton prone vehicles to ever sit in my drive way, and I plan to trade it off if I ever get it back from the mechanic, who has been rebuilding it 1 peice at a time for the past 2 years.....
Overall review:
If you enjoy working on your vehicle EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND.... Buy this truck. If you prefer to have a life stay away from this one.

Very nice engine... got to love that 4.3 liter engine.
Cons:
In 2000 the back seats seem outdated.

Pros:
I own the 5 speed 2.2 and have had it for two to three years. Its great on gas. Only left me stranded once. Great cause most people cant drive it so no one asks to borrow it. I love being able to move anything with it. I had a few problems with it but not what everyone is saying. Guess the previous owner took good care of it. Over 126,000 and still going strong no knocks.
Cons:
There is a MAJOR issue with the breaking system. When its wet out you loose your breaks. Or if your going over a bump (like a manhole cover) you loose them also. NOT GOOD IN SNOW AT ALL. After a year of owning replaced the fuel pump (over $1000 repair) replaced the breaks way to much. Twice a year to be exact. Replaced the clutch because it was stuck which mechanic said was very unusual. and now am replacing the starter (over $150 repair).
Overall review:
Would not recommend this vehicle due to the breaking system. I swear I am going to die in this truck or get into a very bad accident.

Pros:
I have a extreme and the mini trucking style i like. Its a sleek truck and gets decent gas mieage. Ive had my truck for 4 years now and really never had any major mechanical problems
Cons:
Well the 4.3 engine should be swaped out because the size to hp ratio isnt that great. Also the recliner handles snaped and everyone ive talked to has has this same problem. It has a weak fuel sending unit but its a easy fix if you have all the right tools and time for this process.
Overall review:
Overall the truck is nice but not the best thing out on the road. It has it pros and cons but chevy could have changed a few things about this truck. Its a very simple truck to work on with little experience so id recomend this truck to anyone that is just looking for a decent daily driver type of vehicle.

The Reliable Dime

Pros:
I've owned it for the last 6 years and 160,000 miles... engine just won't quit. Good on gas mileage. It's hauled all of my personal belongings and furniture when I've had to move, or help other people move. Take care of the engine, make sure you change the oil and keep up on tune-ups, and it will take great care of you. Replacement parts are inexpensive.
Cons:
Not really a dislike, but GM could have put a little more effort into minor details (clear coat on the paint is long gone, seat recline handle broke but that's common and replacement parts are inexpensive)... for the longest time I thought the only thing that would fit into the cupholder was a 44-oz. soda cup, and dealt with years (literally) of my drinks tipping over when taking corners. Chevy sells an insert that goes into the cup holder to hold smaller drinks. If you don't have one, call the dealership, they carry it. Your carpet will thank you.
Overall review:
I'm a Chevy girl for life! Cosmetically it could use some work, but mechanically (and most important to me) it's been 100% faithful.
