One of the cars that GM did right by kingl80 on 02/18/2009. Trim: 1999 Buick Riviera, Owned 6 years.
Pros: Everything, great car, holds up very well, over 200,000 miles and no major mechanical breakdowns. I have never been stranded with this car.
Cons: Will bottom out on steep incline transitions. Minor replacement parts can be very expensive.
Overall review: I love my Riviera, this car will be driven untill it dies. Afterwhich it will be rebuilt to do all over again.

Love my Riviera!!! by Fearless Phil from Winnipeg, Canada on 05/01/2012. Trim: 1999 Buick Riviera, Owned 7 years.
Pros: A great car. My 3rd Riv (1964, 95, & 99) The 99 is the best of the best. On a good interstate hwy there no difference between 40 mph or 80 mph in the ride or handling. The standard accessory package such as heated seats, auto day / night & heated mirrors, ABS, traction control, cornering lights etc., etc., we're top grade and are not regularily standard yet.
Cons: Poor rear vision for parking. Hate to take this to mall parking lot because it seems to attract door dings from other cars.
Overall review: I would buy another 1999 Riv in (good condition without rust) in a heartbeat.

One Awesome Car by Riviera Fan on 04/22/2008. Trim: 1999 Buick Riviera, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Not only does this car have stand out styling it handles great for being almost 2 tons, the supercharger gives it great low end power while giving me 32mpg on the highway at 80mph. I will have this car until until it falls apart.
Cons: The only con is rear visability and a few gauges on the dash a bit low, but over all a great car from buick!
Overall review: This car is the benchmark for sport/lux under $40000. It gave buick a younger market, I am in high school and my friends can't even tell it is a Buick. And when I tell them they doing care, the power the ride the style, a home run for Buick. Can't wait for buick to introduce the riv again. I will be the first one in line at the dealer! 150,000 miles and still running strong
