Overall review:
The S90 is the last remaining iconic rear wheel drive Volvos produced and the 1998 model year was its swan song. This model not only competes very well with its European cousins such as Mercedes, BMW and the like but excels in overall fit, finish, performance and reliabilty. The S90 has such understated elegance, that belies its true heritage. Make no mistake it is a true Volvo with saftey a paramount issue and was the first to employ side air bags in this model year. Although some 14 years now into service, not many are available in the pre owned market. But by chance you find a well cared for S90, I recommend you buy it fast. There are no dissappointments with this vehicle and for the most has all the creature comforts of anything offered today. I got mine for $3000.00, that was well cared for with service records. It is a stunner and many folks think it is a current model.

The un beliveable S90

Pros:
Everything in this model is excellent, specially the control on the road, anti slip, fuel consumption, the marvellous break system.
When you drive a Volvo S90, you really feel your are safe & secured.
Cons:
The leg space between the front & back seats is very small, and i noticed this problem also in the S60 model.
The sunroof also in hot climents have a lot of problems.
Overall review:
I bought my S90 on December 97, and today the 6th November, 2002, the car still as new as i bought it 5 years ago, it is a marvelous car, very secure and i enjoy driving it with full safeness.
the best thing in this model plus the safty and other features, is that it is back wheel drive.

Pros:
The old fashioned European styling, the leather seats are some of the BEST! Especially the back seats! The different modes of Economy, Sport, & Winter are great for different reasons. Rear Wheel drive is great! SAFETY AT IT'S BEST!!! NOBODY BEATS VOLVO'S SAFETY!!! The ride is very enjoyable as well.
Cons:
No cup holders in the back seat. Gas mileage is not the best for this Inline 6!
Overall review:
Great car overall! A must have for the last TRUE rear wheel drive Volvo's before Ford bought them! It does not have to take a back seat to BMW, Mercedes, Lexus etc..
