Pros:
Okay glass.
Cons:
Can't go over 40 up a hill. Piece of garbage! Bad trans. It broke after 2 days. WARNING: No tach. I drove it in manual mode on the interstate and didn't know when to shift. Lots of smoke and fire.
Overall review:
bad

Buick Skylark 1997

Pros:
Bought car with 20,000 miles on it in 1999 for $9,000. Mostly routine maintenence -- virtually no repairs needed until around 100,000 miles. Spongy suspension, but managable. Good acceleration. Feels heavy, solid and safe with ABS and air bags. Gas mileage is usually only 21 mpg, but I once got 37 mpg on long highway trip. Overall, a very good, reliable car.
Cons:
After owning it for 9 years/125,000 miles, it is starting to cost me $$ for repairs including head gaskets, axel seals, shocks & struts. Tape deck died, but radio still works with adequate quality sound. Don't drop a cigarette ash on seat - it melts uber-fast!!! Driver's side window closes poorly, even after replaced motor. Brakes tend to wear out quickly andhigh front tire wear. Seatbelt digs into arm - no adjuster. Wish the mpg was better. Even after Iridium plugs, flush carburator, new suspension, regreased axle, and brake work, it doesn't get better than 21 mpg. Doesn't matter the brand or grade of gas... Can't figure that one out...
Overall review:
This is almost a best buy. Very good, reliable, inexpensive car. I recommend it.

Pros:
this car has over 100,000 miles on it and still going strong. If you do preventive maintance then it will be a good car for you.
Cons:
none
Overall review:
It is how you treat your car. If you get the required maintence then it will last for a long time

DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!

Pros:
The stereo system is ok for 4 speakers. The transmission is pretty smooth, and I like the fact that there is a trunk release button on the key fob.
Cons:
Pretty much everything else. I have had to replace 3 alternators and the car only has 75K miles. The breaks wear really fast. The tension pully went out at 70K. The water pump went out at 62K. The key fob works poorly, i have to keep replacing the battery in it. The power seat does not work anymore. Many many problems. Would not recomend this car to anyone. There are a lot of other cars out there that are much better for the same price.
Overall review:
Unless you like to dump your money into something that will depreciate faster than you can say pickle, I would deffinately not recommend this car. It has had to many problems and put me in too many dangerous situations.
