NOT your grandfather's Buick by Harry from Detroit on 04/14/2011. Trim: 1996 Buick Regal Gran Sport sedan, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: For a 15-year-old car, this one's a keeper. We got it 2 weeks ago with 116K miles on it, and it starts and runs every time. The six-way power seats are fantastic, as is the sound system. Good acceleration, and handles well with the Grand Touring suspension. All the power accessories work, surprisingly. A very comfortable, good-looking car, with surprising performance.
Cons: So far, not much. The car was left sitting for two years, so there are a couple of minor irritations. It leaks windshield washer solvent, and there's a cassette stuck in the entertainment center.
Overall review: Overall, a great car for a thousand bucks! This one's a really comfortable car, and a real "sleeper." The first time I really punched the throttle, I was surprised. If you run across one in good condition, don't pass it up because it's a Buick. This one isn't your typical grandfather's Buick (and yes, I am a grandfather).

A very good car. by Michael from Lincoln, NE on 04/28/2004. Trim: 1996 Buick Regal Gran Sport coupe, Owned 5 years.
Pros: very reliable car, considering it has 100k miles. It still looks good compared to newer models. The ride is great. The 3800 v6 engine produces plenty of power. Overall I'm very hapy with my car.
Cons: I've had few mechanical issues with this car. For a late 90's GM product it is pretty good. Given that I drive the car pretty hard, the car has held up pretty good. It does suffer form the GM rubbermaid interior. On long drives the seats get a little stiff. Most problems are little nit-picky things though, nothing major.
Overall review: I like this car, and I think its a shame that Buick doesn't make a coupe any more.

My Red Regal GS by none on 08/28/2001. Trim: 1996 Buick Regal Gran Sport coupe, Owned 1 year.
Pros: nice sporty looking car that you can actually fit more than 2 people. It has the whole nine yards! Tape/Radio/CD in one , leather, power sunroof, great sound system. One of those kind of cars everyone does not have. Its pretty boring seeing the same vehicle pass by you 50 times. Its like having a one of a kind, you know a Classic.
Cons: the brakes could be a little harder.
Overall review: A Must Buy!
