Tight Little Car
by Tyson from Utah on 04/29/2005.
Trim: 1988 Toyota Corolla GT-S, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
This is a very fun car to drive, it is quick and unlike some cars, you can drive it anywhere you want because it gets better than decent gas mileage. The car comes stock with nice sound ergonomics, so you will sound good cruising down the street. And not bad styling either.
Cons:
With time you need to expect some ware and tear, but if takin care of, these little toyotas can go and go.
Overall review:
I would recomed this car the anyone who is lookin for a small car that gets good gas mileage, but wont get passed by geo's on the freeway. With the 5 speed, this car can be a thrill to drive with its tight cornering and quick acceleration. I give it a about a 9 overall.

SEVERELY RELIABLE
by YVRpilot from Vancouver, BC, Canada on 03/02/2005.
Trim: 1988 Toyota Corolla SR5, Owned more than 10 years.
1
Pros:
I love the fact that it is extremely cheap to maintain, I can do a lot of the work myself because it hardly has any fancy electronics, it handles really well in the snow (I blow by most other vehicles and that's with all-season tires), love maintenance-free vehicles such as this one... just change the oil and brakes (once every 2 or 3 years) and go!!!
Cons:
Lacks headroom if you're 6'4", engine lacks power.
But what do you expect for a car and engine this size?
Overall review:
This car is the most reliable car I have ever owned. Over 220,000 Kilometres and keeps going and going and going...

Fun little Yota
by Xi80r6 from Indy on 02/27/2005.
Trim: 1988 Toyota Corolla DLX, Owned 3 years.
1
Pros:
It is dependable as long as you make sure to keep up on scheduled maintenance.
Cons:
It is only dependable as long as you keep up on scheduled maintenance.
Overall review:
If you get it in a 5-speed Manual transmission it is lots of fun to drive and they are quite druable, but if you don't keep up on regular service then at high mileage it will fail.

Very Reliable...Starts EVERY day!
by Corolla Owner on 01/02/2004.
Trim: 1988 Toyota Corolla LE, Owned 4 years.
1
Pros:
What a great little car. If you need basic trans for back & forth to work, the EFI 1.6 is the way to go. Definitely better than a newer Cavalier!
Cons:
General Motors AC/Delco alternator. replacing with a Toyota alternator is expensive.
Overall review:
Best grocery getter BAR NONE! And a great Snowmobile too!
