Suzuki Baleno GLX '98 (esteem in US) by Nd from Aruba, Dutch Caribbean on 02/21/2006. Trim: 1998 Suzuki Esteem GLX, Owned 7 years.
Pros: The car has a good acceleration and it has an automatic transmission, used to race it, quarter mile in less then 18 seconds.after 8 years it still has the power.all services on time and still uses 10w30 oil, shell to be exact.Very low on gas,300 km with one full tank. comfortable to drive, and handles great, i had 13" macreems installed with tires 205/160,tinted windows, and the interior is good, fabric seats with seat covers always, bought it for $10.000 second hand here in Aruba, previous owner had it for 1 year and he bought it for $20.000 here.he crashed it, and had new front,no motor damage.have it for 7 years now, and not planning to sell it anytime soon.a/c & alarm works great still.
Cons: the front windows slides forward when closing and lets air in, the noice i mean.the a/c belt sounds when the car is cold, and then stops once it gets hot, even with new belt installed.in cold weather it has to heat up first, otherwise the motor will turn off if you start driving.
Overall review: its a great compact car with all the convenience of a luxury car and not expensive.only things i had changed was the cv-joints cos of the racing, front belts (a/c,alternator) and the alternator had to be repaired.i always use the a/c.still have the same spare tire.had to buy a new jack tho, original one broke.and the radio/cd player still works great. I have to say that it's not a US made, but a Japanese made Baleno, and not esteem, but they are the same.

Piece of S*#t car by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/14/2003. Trim: 1998 Suzuki Esteem GL, Owned 5 years.
Pros: Starts every morning. Great turning radius
Cons: Lets start with the very loud sqweeky brakes, and the fact I have had to put new brakes and calipers (spelling?) on it every 6 months! Front windows do not roll up or down, factory radio did not work hardly at all. Suzuki Dealers.. lie!!
Overall review: Ehhh...

My Suzuki by PiperK on 07/03/2008. Trim: 1998 Suzuki Esteem GL, Owned 8 years.
Pros: Nice car to get around even with 3 kids and 2 adults.
Cons: The front driver and passenger windows were the first thing to go. I cannot get them to roll down anymore. I've had horrible tire problems, the cv joints went out...so quick like a snap of your fingers and NOW my engine cradel/suspension crossmember is cracked/broken. I'm now out of a car!
Overall review: I've had this car for 8 years and even with what's in my cons this is the best car I've had.
