Highly recommendable little sport wagon by Freekbuoy From NM on 11/14/2003. Trim: 1999 Subaru Impreza Wagon Outback Sport, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: Great styling, good acceleration, good braking, lots of room with seats folded down, great handling, reliable.
Cons: Too easy to break into, i.e. when locking keys in car. But no one seems to want to steal the little beastie, so maybe not an issue. Interior styling could be better, seats more comfortable, etc., but I didn't buy a luxury car, nor did I want to, so maybe adequate for function.
Overall review: Great, reliable little sporty car. Would recommend to anyone.

Workhorse by BlueTahoe from Bay Area, CA on 09/10/2001. Trim: 1999 Subaru Impreza Wagon L, Owned 2 years.
1
Pros: Good gas mileage. AWD. Ample cargo space for it's size.
Cons: Seats not as comfortable as Nissan's 200SX series. Little leg room in the back.
Overall review: This car is a workhorse. It takes you up in the mountains (Sierra Nevada) with ease even with a full load (passengers and camping cargo). Handles snow like a pro. I've seen trucks go off the road in a storm and the car handles like a pro meanwhile. Strong performer but NOT a tower. That's usually reserved for bigger engines such as the ones in the Dodge Dakota. Perhaps the WRX could tow more but I'm sure that's not what the Subaru engineers had in mind!

My great car by An MSN Autos Consumer on 08/21/2013. Trim: 1999 Subaru Impreza Wagon, Owned more than 10 years.
Useful?
Pros: Everything still works well after 14 years.
Cons: It is rusting around the rear wheels.
Overall review: I just really still like the car. It has never let me down and is still quite dependable after 300,000 km.
