Pros:
I bought this car new in 1995 and it's been a reliable performer for me ever since. The only serious problem I've encountered is having to replace the CV boots a couple of years ago and now having to do it again (and it ain't cheap). Other than that all I've done is have regular maintenance. For it's small size, I can haul almost anything in this car and I have. With the seats lowered all the way down, there is plenty of room for hauling furniture and building materials.
This car is easy to drive and I can see behind me with no problem when backing up. It also handles big snow drifts with ease.
Cons:
Not enough pep in the engine and not good gas mileage. I should have bought the manual trans. Also, I found the interior slow to heat up on those reallly cold days, but once it warms up, it gets super toasty. The cup holders are misplaced. Because of the location, drips and condensation from beverages leak onto the controls and they don't hold large cups. And, there are no cup holders at all in the rear.
Overall review:
I'd love to buy another one but because of my budget, I'm going to have to go for something less expensive. I feel lucky to have bought this car. It has served me very well. I don't drive it that often because I live close to work so it only has 70,000 miles on it. I plan on giving the car to my son after I buy another one so I'm glad to hear that it should still be running well for at least another 70,000 miles.

Useful?
Pros:
Tough, reliable. Drive it like I stole it non-stop. Taken on curvy mountain roads hard and loud. Breaking traction is difficult to do, but very balanced, stable & predictable when in awd power drift. Only needs oil change & windshield washer fluid after two years of brutal conditions.
Cons:
Could have little more power. Too many cars like this & mechanics will be out of business! Not Ford mechanics;)
Overall review:
Had for two years now, would buy again, also, would recommend this model over other similar ones.
