Good Quality by Vince from Michigan on 10/11/2009. Trim: 1996 Saturn SC2, Owned 2 years.

Pros: Very well built, no exterior rust (this has gone through 13 Michigan winters), aside from the headlights, bits of the hood and roof. Outstanding gas mileage. Better gas mileage than a Toyota Corolla :) I would drive this vehicle to California and back, multiple times. All to add on to the 199k miles!
Cons: Very small, difficult to get passengers in and out of the rear seating. Also difficult to keep them comfortable. I'm a teenager, and it's not really modern for me. Then again, it is a 1996, so it's going to have older features.
Overall review: Good quality build, excellent car to get to and from work/school while on a budget. Great on gas without having to buy foreign!

Pros: (No data provided)
Cons: (No data provided)
Overall review: Overall, I've had no major problems with my 1996 SC2. I was the second owner of it and bought mine in 1997 with 16K miles on it. Now in 2004, it still gets me where I need to go with minimal fuss.

The easy choice for a used, economy, sporty car. by Purple lova from Minneapolis on 03/11/2003. Trim: 1996 Saturn SC2, Owned 8 years.

Pros: Safe and trouble free. Looks great for a cheap sports car. Very safe and reliable. Fun to drive.
Cons: Saturn's rep for being a chick's car co.
Overall review: No problems at 140,000 miles. Only changed the tires, brake pads, oil and tranny fluid -- no other work needed. Runs like a top, even in the cold. I have a purple SC2 with the alloy wheels and spoiler and people still tell me how good it looks 7 years after purchase. Two friends have similar SC2s without any problems at 102 and 110k.

Power, Flash, and easy on the Cash by Colin from Maryland's Eastern Shore on 11/22/2001. Trim: 1996 Saturn SC2, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: The '96 was the last Saturn SC to have the flip-up head lights, which has always been a personal favorite of mine. It's Acceleration is great for a 4-cyl car and the gas millage is great too. The Dent Resistant side panelling also increase in this car's durability. The fold down rear seats allow more cargo room and make it easier to access items than if thrown in the back seat while up. And most of all, if bought from a Saturn dealer, you will be treated how you are supposed to and not "taken for a ride". This is my first automobile purchased, and the Saturn staff had treated me like what I was; a person.
Cons: The Moon roof only goes back 2/3rd's of it's length. Large items can be hard to put in the trunk do to the two large arms that hinge the trunk door that come down. The back seat is small. You can barely fit four people in here and since there is a non moving cup-holder/item tray in the middle of the back seat, a 5th person would be almost impossible (But I have doen it). Althought the dent-resistant panneling makes it oblivious to small bumps, it does not have the same luster as a nice metalic finish, but by no means does it look bad.
Overall review: I drive over 100 miles a day on highway and country roads. This car can handel it's own and then some. If you only plan on carrying yourself and up to one other person on a regular basis, this car is great. Any more than that on a regular basis, you will probably be cramped.
