Porsche American Roadster
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 01/21/2007.
Trim: 1992 Porsche 911 American Roadster, Owned 8 years.

Pros:
The roadster is an anniversary and limited edition Porsche, but its more then a show vehicle. The vehicle is equip with the turbo suspension, and brakes and handles like a dream. This is my 3rd Porsche and I like to get a GT in years to come, but I think Ill have to keep this one as well, because I just refuse to part from it.
Cons:
The convertible top sticks out like a sore thumb.
Overall review:
Exceptional driving experience!!!

The Ultimate collector Porsche 911-40 years Anniversary American Roadster
by Porschemaster,Seattle on 08/07/2006.
Trim: 1992 Porsche 911 American Roadster, Owned more than 10 years.

Pros:
Any die hard convertable Porsche 911 fans will tell you this is the best looking 911 ever created. the wide body of the American Roaster is identicle to the Turbo model, but in a convertable. Too bad they only made 250 of them as Porsche's 40 Years Anniverary Car. Making this American Roadster one of the most desired Porsch ever for the collector and investors alike.
Cons:
I have personally talked to 3 different owners of this car.We all seem to agree the rear seats are such waste of the already primium space in the car.We would like to see the same kind of design as in the early models of the Mercedes 380SL & 560 SL's rear.Just a flat space to accomandate a set of golf clubs would be super nice!
I had my modelfied with a subwoofer just behind the driver's seat....Awsome!!!
Overall review:
This is definitely the best bargin in the 964 series.this is "The Porshce" captured the ealy Porsche rosters which offers so much more styling than just a regular hard top 911s. As for collector or investors looking for a classic, look no further.American Roaster are so rare, they are sold for more than the same year Turbos. Being one of the rarest Porsche 911's ever made, there just arn't many around. When they do pop out in the used car maket...they are usually gone within 60 seconds!!! Good luck hunting!!

Pros:
The AR is an exceptional veheicle with its handling and performance.
Cons:
The AR should have came with the turbo engine. The design for the convertible is cumbering.
Overall review:
Its a Porsche, and there is no substitute. Porsche has always been unique in style and design, and because of that its a winner
