91 911 Carerra 2 Cabriolet
by JS from California Central Coast on 10/03/2006.
Trim: 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Cabriolet, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
Beautiful looking car.
Cons:
Not as fast as I thought it would be. Problems with dashboard warning lights frequently coming on. Leaks oil on garage floor. Expensive to maintain. If I had to do it again I probably would purchase something else.
Overall review:
Great looking car. Probably could get better performance for the same price from something else.

the super car for under $26,000
by Larry on 02/25/2004.
Trim: 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
The car is a blast to drive. and at one forth the cost of a brand new one it lets you have all the fun but at one forth the cost.
If you buy the car, join the Porsech cub.
Cons:
Check the car out well.
There are a few major problems, But many of the cars out there have already had the work done.
Overall review:
The 964 is the first Modern 911. It sits in the middle between the vintage and the new style.

911 in the garage. What could be better????
by TPD on 12/02/2003.
Trim: 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Cabriolet, Owned 2 years.

Pros:
Style, sound and performance seperate this car from others. It's just as fun to drive this car slow as it is fast. The Tiptronic transmission is SMOOTH and quick through the gears. The motor is as strong now as when it was brand-new.
Cons:
I got mine with over 100K miles. The simple stuff seems to break or need repair which can be expensive. New plastic door latch was $12 but the hour of labor that the dealer charged was $85. The brass gear in the convertible top motor cracked and now won't lock. Dealer sells motor only ($550) and not the $25 gear.
Overall review:
Great car as long as you don't have to drive it everday. I LOVE mine when I do drive it, LOVE it even more when it's parked in my gararge. Would I buy another one??? Well, I'm keeping this one and I have my eye on a 2000 C4.

Nothing like a Turbo
by Frank in tampa on 11/02/2003.
Trim: 1991 Porsche 911 Carrerea Turbo, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros:
This car feels like it was sculpted from a solid piece of metal. It's just so solid, not to mention how wicked fast it is.
Cons:
Almost nothing. It eats tires relatively frequently. It's not particularly quiet on the inside. Finding a qualified mechanic is a must - dealers don't qualify.
Overall review:
I hope to keep this car forever.
