killer car by Karl on 03/19/2010. Trim: 1988 Porsche 911 Turbo, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: Road car extrodinaire, since new,202K miles 1 engine rebuild, only because the seals got hard and it leaked oil, still ran good.
Overall review: great car

The Best! by Bruce on 03/28/2004. Trim: 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: Rock solid race car with manners. Always a joy to drive, either on the twistys or the superslab. Happy at outrageous speeds and the tach climbs without pause, so you have to watch it. And it's always absolutely beautiful . .a classic, elegant looker!
Cons: The AC is mostly decoration. I've never been able to figure out and remember the ventilation system controls (I found that the AC is actually a great de-fogger). It occasionally will bottom on severe dips or driveway entry ramps. But hey . . . . .
Overall review: I would choose no other. It was a lucky day when I bought this baby.

Supercharged Dream Car by KKDiablo from Jackson, Wy on 01/04/2004. Trim: 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe, Owned 4 years.
Pros: Mine is a very special Porsche, first it's mine, second it's supercharged. Now purists out there are scoffing and rolling their eyes, but Porsche has had other supercharged cars, and Dr. Porsche designed a supercharged Dahimler (before they were Mercadies-Benz, long before Porsche). Superchargers are diffrent, more off the line power. Other than that turbos and superchargers are similar in principal and operation. I'm trying to make a one of a kind supercharged 930RS that eats japanese and spits out smog:)
Cons: What are the cons about a 330HP, 2400Kg car. Oh yeah, maintenance is expensive, and finding someone who you trust to customize or work on it is difficult. The back seats only fit children, luckly I have two, equal weight distribution. I didn't buy a Porsche to save money, this is my dream car. I want to be barried in this car.
Overall review: If you have a dream to buy a Porsche, do it! Your life will never be the same. The older models are inexpencive right now and they are fast cars to start with, add some work and a little of your own personality and you have a car you will dream about driving.

The Best Weekend Car by Joe from Miami, Fl on 12/17/2003. Trim: 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Very beautiful car, inside and out. It's very fast for the age, especially when you reach the power band. The brakes are second to none, and the targa is great to have during the summer. Also corners well once you know how to drive it. A real eye catcher as well.
Cons: Targa top is known for high wind noise after 65mph, it can leak by the door pretty bad. The infamous 1st to 2nd shift in the 915 tran. can be a real pain. And the interior could use a little more style, however still very effective.
Overall review: This is the prefect car to drive on the weekends for fun, and to have a sprited ride every now and then. However for a daily driver, I would not recommend it, also not the great in city gas mileage.
