Pontiac builds excitement by Eric Plain City Ohio on 03/10/2008. Trim: 1998 Pontiac Bonneville SE, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Love the way it handles, great get-up-and-GO, great headlights, smooth ride, awesome fuel economy averaging 24 city 32 highway. Been in 2 accidents in it and barely felt either impact. 3800 motors are hard to kill.
Cons: Only complaint i have is: too change the serpentine belt you must remove the engine mount on the passenger side.
Overall review: I would definitely buy another in a heart beat.

Supcharged New pulley by Rx7owner on 11/18/2004. Trim: 1998 Pontiac Bonneville SSE, Owned 4 years.
Pros: I liked that fact that with the ssei u could spend anohter 200 dollars and buy another supercharger pulley for an additional 25 horsepower or so. It has been an all around good car with no real problems.
Overall review: Buy the ssei and got to 3800performance.com and buy a better pulley its well worth it makes it fast.

Awesome Car by Anathema05 from NY on 08/25/2010. Trim: 1998 Pontiac Bonneville SE, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Exterior design is great. It reminds me of those old-school muscle cars. Leather seats are nice, handling and ride are great. A very durable car with excellent gas mileage for it's age and size. It's a tank, too - rest assured that your family is safe riding in this car.
Cons: None really. If you take good care of your car, it will last a very long time.
Overall review: Great car. Great features. Great value. Great gas mileage. Buy it.

Best Car Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by Toni, Collinsville, OK on 05/21/2004. Trim: 1998 Pontiac Bonneville SE, Owned 4 years.
Pros: Everything is perfect, size, ride, comfort, power!!! It's the last of it's kind, GM doesn't make cars like this anymore, excpet for the Bonneville.
Cons: It does have a few minor problems like ALL manufacturers, it's still millions of times better than Chrysler or Ford for God's sake. And maybe Japanese cars are more reliable but you sacrifice comfort and size to get it.
Overall review: All these whiners that wrote reviews for this car apparently haven't had many cars. The intake thing on these cars is nothing. They've been making the 3.8 for ever and a day and it is still the best motor ever built by GM aside from the 350 of course, which of course they don't use anymore. This car is well worth an intake anyway, besides there's an aftermarket intake now that fixes the problem. Why would GM fix it anyway, DUH?! What's in it for them, huh? They are still the biggest most successful car manufaturer ever!!!

You decide by Jamie on 06/16/2003. Trim: 1998 Pontiac Bonneville SE, Owned 2 years.
Pros: When the transmission doesn't slip, smooth runner.
Cons: I bought a bonneville and after 17 days of owning it, the engine blew up. I did not buy extended warranty. The dealership I bought it from did pay the cost to get it fixed. The transmission slips every once in while. Plastic pieces fall off from inside interior...
Overall review: I don't think I would recommend anyone to buy a Bonneville.
