Cute, reliable car by Jennifer on 12/20/2006. Trim: 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix SE Sedan, Owned 4 years.
1
Pros: I like that it's easy to control. I feel safe when I drive it. The engine seems to be doing pretty well after 10 years. Good gas mileage, also.
Cons: The interior doesn't hold up that well. The climate control knobs and plastic parts tend to fall off.
Overall review: I think this is a good first car for people like me. I'm 19 and I drive to college every day, so it's perfect. This car gets good gas mileage and it rarely has any problems that prevent me from getting around. It also doesn't look like chop shop material, so I don't worry about it getting stolen.

Nice Looking Junk by Joe from Iowa on 03/07/2005. Trim: 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix SE Coupe, Owned 3 years.
1
Pros: Looks nice for a car nearly 10 years old. Like the styling. Comfortable seats, and ergonomic interior.
Cons: After buying it in Feb. 2002, with 75,000 miles on it, i have had the transmission rebuilt twice, new tierods and ball joints, replaced the lower intake manifold gasket, replaced the entire factory security system,(PASSKEY) and now the lower main gasket is leaking. Nothing but problems. Even with 120,000 miles, that is way too many things to go wrong.
Overall review: Nice looking car and decent performance, but very unreliable, especially the transmission. Not recommended.

Not bad for used by LucyMarie on 05/19/2004. Trim: 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix SE Sedan, Owned 3 years.
1
Pros: Roomy interior.
Cons: Very common car-many of the same model/color can be found anywhere. Bad gas mileage. Accessories tend to fail/break.
Overall review: Good buy for a used vechicle. Can get hundreds of thousands of miles and still run.
