Awesome Firebird by Taztonio from Charleston on 02/22/2005. Trim: 1996 Pontiac Firebird Formula Coupe, Owned 5 years.

Pros: I've owned my 96 for five years and it's awesome. Quicker and more powerful than any other car in its price range. With the right tires any curve can be taken at 80 mph. A well tuned engine can easily do 140 mph in 5th gear before red lining, leaving the 6th gear for your imagination. Nearly 200 ilbs lighter than Trans AM!!!
Cons: The fuel pump is weak, noisy, and hard to replace. The Opti-spark is a pain to replace. I hate GM fuel filters, bad location and messy changeout.
Overall review: If you have the time to do a few repairs, and love speed then this car is for you. Right now they are cheap. For the price of a new sports car, a Formula could be completly outfited with new suspension, and upgraded engine. Best bang for the buck.
