No car on the road that's more boring by An MSN Autos Consumer on 08/21/2004. Trim: 1996 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight LS, Owned 4 years.

Pros: It has decent power
Cons: It has absolutely no style. It drives throught the wrong wheels. It is absolutely ridiculous for a car this size to be front wheel drive.
Overall review: If someone thinks of cars only as transportation and they don't mine having people tell thme how boring their car is, this might be an OK choice if you can buy it really cheap.

Best Bang For The Used Car Buck! by An MSN Autos Consumer on 06/15/2011. Trim: 1996 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight Base, Owned 5 years.

Pros: 36 MPG, 6 passenger, Lot's of rooom. Big trunk.
Cons: No lumbar support. Fake front vent windows.
Overall review: It's the best value in a cheap used car. Gas it up with non-ethanol non-oxygenated fuel & you will get 36mpg on the highway.

Great, solid American car. by Reeds on 07/08/2008. Trim: 1996 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight LS, Owned more than 10 years.

Pros: Solid, comfortable car. Excellent engine (3800 V-6) and hwy gas mileage (32-34 mpg). Smooth, quiet ride, almost no wind noise. Acceleration very good. It's incredible the acceleration and gas mileage this car gets as a full sized, 4800 lbs car.
Cons: Very low headrests on front seats. Not a hot handling car. This is an Olds, don't expect it to drive like a BMW!
Overall review: Great car, I love it. I bought it with 66000 miles and it was nearly like new although 13 years old. Outstanding gas mileage for ANY car, 32-34 mpb hwy! That's as good as the two camrys I've had with 4 cyl engines and they probably weighed 1000 lbs less! I wasn't looking for a car like this, but, when I saw the condition, engine and miles on it I knew it would be a good car. But, has turned out to be great. Very little problems.
