My best quality vehicle ever
by Minnesota Mule Skinner on 03/11/2010.
Trim: 1999 Nissan Maxima GXE, Owned more than 10 years.
1
Pros:
Excellent engine and transmission performance. Quality fit and finish. Except for an oxygen sensor, it has never had *any* issues beyond normal wear items like the battery and tires.
Cons:
Hand brake touches my thigh; very annoying on any drive longer than half an hour. Driver's seat is uncomfortable to my lower back. Front turn signal lights are built into the bumper: Why put something fragile like a light in a place that's supposed to absorb shocks?
Overall review:
This is a very high quality car with a couple of design weaknesses.

Love It!
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 12/15/2007.
Trim: 1999 Nissan Maxima SE, Owned 8 years.

Pros:
The car has been the best purchase I have ever made. The styling is timeless, handling exceptional.
Cons:
There is really nothing I dislike about this vehicle. My only wish would be that the headlight lens covers would have been made of some other material as they have yellowed somewhat
Overall review:
I am constantly asked if I want to sell the car. It has been absolutely trouble-free! The exterior and interior have held up exceptionally well.

Truly the mature sports car.
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 07/19/2004.
Trim: 1999 Nissan Maxima GLE, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
Im over 6 feet tall, and this is the only sedan ive ever gotten in where i actually had to pull the seat FORWARD a little to feel comfortable. I took a 4 hour trip, and my legs were not cramped at all. GREAT for tall people.
Cons:
havent found any. A few things needed changing, O2 sensors, struts. But it is pushing 100,000 miles, so its about time.

Pros:
It's very reliable! No problems in 100,000 miles!
Cons:
It has a plain body which could be more sporty! The 2004 is very sporty!
Overall review:
The car looks really nice and is very, very reliable! I enjoy driving it!

Overall review:
This vehicle has been extremely reliable, 41,000+ miles and not a single problem. We have only had to replace the brake pads at about 33k due to driving in heavy traffic. Fun to drive with great handling and acceleration with good gas mileage, 23ish in town, 30 on the road. Interior (leather) and exterior have held up very well. Would highly recommend as a primary vehicle.
