The Perfect Small Car

Trim: 1990 Nissan Sentra XE sedan, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
My Sentra has never broken down. As long as the levels are checked at the recommended intervals, it just keeps going. I get 400 miles from my 12 gallon tank using premium gas in stop-go traffic, 300 miles with regular gas.
Cons:
The paintwork is peeling and faded after only 10 years.
Overall review:
The best buy for economy and reliability.

Old Car, New Problems
by Veronica from Atlanta on 11/28/2001.
Trim: 1990 Nissan Sentra SE coupe, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
It looks kinda cute. Great first car or college student commuter car.
Cons:
I got this car used, so I expected and had some problems. I needed a new starter and timing belt within the first 2 months of me owning it. (Which cost me about $1,000 in total.) Then my battery cables had a lot of "gunk" on it. It ended up stalling on me, but it was easily fixed. I wish it had cruise control, but it's no biggie.
Overall review:
I really do like this car. Even though I've had a lot of problems with it recently, I think that the previous owner didn't take care of it like she should have. But it's a great first car.

cost for replacing timing chain, it is an interference engine
