Perfect Everyday Car by An MSN Autos Consumer on 05/14/2011. Trim: 1999 Mitsubishi Galant LS, Owned 3 years.
Pros: Very soft leather seats. Smooth ride. Great sound system with optional 7 Speaker Premium Infinity system. Interior space. Great, modern styling. Black paint is still shiny (people that have had paint issues must not have waxed their car enough. My car sits on the street, in the sun everyday for its entire vehicle life. Never been garaged and paint is still great. Just take care of it.) Very reliable!
Cons: Some squeaky, cheap plastics. Mediocre gas mileage (avg. 24 highway with V6 engine avg. 315 miles per tank).
Overall review: My Galant LS has 135,xxx miles and runs great! No major issues, just standard vehicle tune ups such as brakes, timing belt, spark plugs, etc. I drive this car daily in pothole infested city streets and the suspension is well tuned with just the right stiffness for handling and the perfect amount of softness for passenger comfort. The stereo is unlike any other (with premium sound system). I have friends who own BMW 3 series and my stock stereo provided much deeper bass and higher, crisper treble notes. The seats are very comfy, even on long trips, although sadly no option for heated leather seats. Trunk is spacious, glove box is quite small, door compartments can hold a mini umbrella, maps, and flashlights in one door, center armrest storage is small but holds quick access mini items like hand sanitizer, cell phone, etc. Overall, this car is by far a great bargain for the nice touches you get, even for a car of its age, it looks newer.

Not bad for your dollar by Monie, Baltimore on 06/18/2003. Trim: 1999 Mitsubishi Galant ES, Owned 4 years.
Pros: Stylish and pretty dependable.
Cons: Rubber around headlights, interior map lights came loose, brakes, glove compartment does not stay closed, black tar looking stuff inside the door jam at the bottom coming out.
Overall review: Few minor problems but none that stop me from my day to day operations.

Good looks, good luck (to the buyer) by A CarPoint Consumer on 02/27/2002. Trim: 1999 Mitsubishi Galant ES V6, Owned 3 years.
Pros: No doubt - The styling of this car is great. Yes, it does look like a BMW, or a Lincoln LS.
Cons: The overall quality of the car is horrible. The problems that we' ve experienced with this car (from least to most troubling) 1. headlight gaskets came loose and flapped in the breeze, until I re-glued them. 2. The interior map light pops out from the headliner, on it's own, for no apparent reason other than the cheapness of the materials. 3. the brakes have needed to be replaced 3 times in less than 24K miles. This car is driven by my wife, and she is not hard on the vehicle.
Overall review: Wouldn't own another Mitsubishi for any reason! Happily, my wife LEASED this car (Ha ha!) we're giving it back to the dealer when the lease is up and buying a Hundai Sonata. Sonata Looks like a Jag, and has a 5 year B2B warranty!!
