20 years in my hands... I never will sell this MONTERO
Never. never never... This indestrutible toy, never die.
Just don't expect a rocket... Is the father of the modern suv's
If you are looking for a green car... this is not the one. 17 mpg
always... h or city... I have this baby from the very first mile.

Si buscas un vehiculo TONKA este es el que buscas. NO muere nunca...
y se arregla con una miseria... el motor 3.0L es el mismo de dodge Caravan
consigues las piezas donde sea... disfruta el 4x4. y el monte.... location
PUERTO RICO... no la vendo... de aqui pal junker/ o para aplastarla.
Cons:
It's not a rocket... It's an 4x4 thats runs, better than a car...

The beast has entered the building

Pros:
It is very roomy inside. Seats are upright and comfortable especially the drivers seat. Plenty of sunshine with oversized windows. Fun rugged ride. Great acceleration, good sturdy build, secure built like a tank!! Demands respect from tiny sedans and newer Montero's!
Cons:
No airbags
No coffee mug holder
Wide turns
Radio is too low
Very boxy and not aerodynamic

Buy it and enjoy.

Can't Do Better for $$$

Pros:
Over 250K miles, much abuse, off-road, high speed highway, poor maintenance; and it runs still!!! Indestructable, easy to like. I bought another (1990)!!! Great off-road.
Cons:
Not flashy, no drag racer...
Overall review:
Excellent experience with this vehicle considering use, mileage and maintenance (lack thereof). Does everything asked of it. Phenominal off-road!. Great load capacity, speed, relative economy. Parts getting hard to find.
Liked it so much I bought another similar (1990) model.

Pros:
it is reliable, it is sturdy, it is sexy, it is well built for any kind of track.......
Cons:
the radio is way to down........there is no place to keep a coffee mug.......

It is a excellent car, and i would recommend it to all. Its a great car that will never let you down......

Pros:
Great suspension/off-road ability, quality construction, very reliable transmission, roomy interior for cargo/passengers, nice features (cruise, A/C, etc.), very nice off-road package (headlight washers, LSD, skid-plates), fair gas mileage, reliable to reach 175k without an issue
Cons:
engine could have more horses
Overall review:
Vehicle is built EXACTLY as intended. Extremely rugged and durable off-road performance combined with very capable on-road features. 125,000 miles and nary a problem (with regular maintenace). Its reputation is strong from most who own one and the styling is Land-Rover'esque (if you squint a little)..too bad there are so few
