Family SUV and then some.

Pros:
I recently reached 200,000 miles on this marvelous vehicle that we purchased new in 1999. I was in the process of looking for a new family SUV and couldn't help but post a review here. Knock on wood, but at this point all I have spent on this car other than routine maintenance have been two of the "100,000 mile tune-ups". Tires, brakes, shocks and regular oil changes have been the only investments in this great mid size SUV. It has been from Memphis to New York and back, to Florida for at least 8 summer vacations, and asked to perform a monthly round trip between Dallas and Memphis for at least five years in some of the most brutal heat you can imagine. This car has paid for itself.
Cons:
I dislike that it might be time to get rid of it. The only other dislike is that it does ride like a short wheel base vehicle, a little bouncy at times.

Pros:
I bought my Mountaineer May of '03, and i absoluley LOVE it!! All the accessories inside are awesome, from the rear air, to the double cd player. I Highly recommend this SUV!
Cons:
The gas mileage stinks!
Overall review:
Overall, i just love my Mountaineer. The gas mileage is horrible, but that is what i get for buying a V8. But other than that, it is an awesome car. It makes long trips more exciting now!
