Pros:
handels great and good gas millage for a four speed around 28 mpg.
Cons:
weak trans. hard to work on.
Overall review:
this car is a good car just hard to work on and has a weak trany.

Pros:
Handling(this car beat BMW,Audi,Jaguar..for almost 2sec on drive test).Acceleration over 100 km/h you don't need to hesitate when passing,
price 30% less than foreing competitors,
Cons:
cramp back seat ,paint job could be better,down shifting 3-2 gear not very synchronize, gas emission parts and sensors are not very reliable (electronic) ,Wires under steering weel interfire with ignition "Ford Service charge me 100$ for doing nothing and try to cover up"shame for company" ). Crankshaft modul broke after 75000 km (300$can part and labor).stiff suspension(sport model)

Useful?
Pros:
Ford reliability, good acceleration(usual type not leadfoot), very stylish good quality bodywork.
Got my 98 in Feb. 05 with just 21,000 and cleaner than showroom 06's.
Perfect conditon and super price for just broken in mileage.
Excellent gas milage 34plus highway.
Cons:
Could use more legroom, personally I hate power windows for reliability-any make-,power anteanna, cd won't play burned cd's.
Don't like sunroof personal taste, again non manual operation reliability problematic in future years.
Overall review:
Excellent, I specified Ford or Mercury to the dealer as Chrysler and Chevy have body-paint problems more than I've seen with most Ford's.
Tired of taking good care of a car to have it look like junk after a number of years from rust, paint flaking off.

Pros:
great design, and perfect for young people. very good acceration after you modify with SVT performance package.
Cons:
nothing, just hard to get the right performance tires for the car. Do not buy the cheap tires. It will not work on either Contour and Mystique or even 626 and Mazda 6 for between 1998 to newer.
Overall review:
I got the car end of the 1997 as 1998 model. there is not a lot problem I have since I brought the car. However, the only two problem I had since the car is new is trasmation on the auto and brake cylinder. However it was cover with the warrenty during the time, on the other hand i still wanna to think about getting another one some time soon. My has SVT performance package in it and get me a better performance on highway and city. Also I have put in high performance racing cross drill rotor from KVR. One things is if you do take good care of these car it will run forever, plus my Mystique has more then 142,000 miles on the car and right now it run like new so far. My next is getting a Ford SVT Contour, and Swap engine to 3.0L DOHC Duratech from Taurus or Escape for my Mystique.
