great van by An MSN Autos Consumer on 08/09/2007. Trim: 1997 Mercury Villager GS, Owned 8 years.
Pros: Very versatile, like having stow and go only without the high price, easy to haul cargo, very reliable and well-made for a late 1990s minivan, no rattles after 100k miles
Cons: Somewhat unsettled suspension, Nissan engine short on power uphill
Overall review: Great vanf or the money, stylish and versatile and problem free. Still looks and drives new after so many miles

Great family van by Little ole lady from Santa Clara on 05/07/2006. Trim: 1997 Mercury Villager LS, Owned 5 years.
Pros: Lots of room. Runs smooth, great gas mileage. Classy looking mini-van. (I have the hunter green) Cupholders in back.
Cons: Back window, (also darkened) sometimes difficult to see all angles. Take extra precautions. CArpeting doesn't hold up as well as it should.
Overall review: Being mechanically illiterate, it's been a great vehicle for me. If you keep up the recommended maintenance and I have, I've had no problems since I purchased it used in 2001 with 19,000 miles on it.

The Minivan with no breaks by A MSN Autos Consumer on 02/08/2003. Trim: 1997 Mercury Villager GS, Owned 3 years.
Pros: (No data provided)
Cons: Front breaks need to be replaced every 3 to 5 thousand miles. I have been told that the breaks are not sufficient for the vehicle.
Overall review: Would not recommend due to high cost of maintenance.
