Pros:
155K miles, excellent engine. Need some front end and brakes work. Front end lower to the ground, and steering is somewhat sloppy, but I have not taken this car in for regular repair, overdue. An excellent car. This car should easily get over 200K. Need to replace window regulator, and interior quality a bit to be desired at this mileage, but still quite good.
Cons:
Not too many. Looser steering.
Overall review:
Not many cars can perform this well, or at all, at high mileage.

"Great Family Car"
by Scott DeQuincy, LA on 11/20/2004.
Trim: 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis GS, Owned 8 years.

Pros:
I have loved this vehicle since the day that I drove it home. It now has over 100,000 miles on it and it runs like a champ. Great riding car for long trips with the family and the large trunk makes it possible to bring whatever we think we might need. Engine has plenty of power and acceleration. A great overall value.
Cons:
I too had to replace the intake manifold. The mechanic at the dealership told me that he replaces quite a few of them due to the fact that they are made of plastic. Another problem that I have had is with the window regulators going out.
Overall review:
Great family car. If I was in the market for a new car I would definitely buy another.
