Pros:
Everything! It is pure luxury and drives and feels
awesome! I just sold my CLK320 to my sister
and I loved that Benz as well! This Benz is not
only comfortable and nice to drive, add fast
and maneuverable as well and you have
the choicest sedan around : )
Cons:
love it all!
Overall review:
Nice car, nice ride, comfortable,
fast, classy, smooth, easy to drive,
proud to drive, can race most others
competently, dual overhead cams
sound awesome!

I'd buy another S500
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 05/07/2007.
Trim: 1992 Mercedes-Benz S-Class 500SEL sedan, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros:
Safety and ride comfort because I commute 500 miles a week. Tons of room for guests and kids in the back. Tons of features. Classy act car with superior engineering.
Cons:
High cost maintenence and repair. the 5.0 V8 is tough on gas.
Overall review:
My 92 isn't showing signs of the harness degredation. If it does I will replace with one for $500 and not sweat it. Beast of car, gets alot of looks. I bought it with 62k from a collector so its in great shape. Horrible MPG! Course I can't drive it slow either. So smooth you can't tell your flying in it.

Best luxury Car i own
by fernando from Santo Domingo, DR on 05/11/2006.
Trim: 1992 Mercedes-Benz S-Class 500SEL sedan, Owned more than 10 years.
1
Pros:
The vehicle is Very spacious and safe. I also own a 1999 Jaguar Vanden Plas, and a Lincoln Navigator and i like the Mercedes far better than these. It has higher handling at high speeds. Even though it measures more than 5 meters (so do the jag and the lincoln) it is easy to maneuver between traffic and on tight spots. It is easy to measure when reversing because of the Reverse Antennas that pop out at either side of the trunk and also because the rear head restraints can be lowered from the center console with the puzh of a button.
The car has hydraulic Door assist so you don't have to slam the heavy doors. Windows are sound proof. A/C has an additional Carbon Filter. seats are vey bucke
Cons:
No rear A/C, just a vent.
Had to change the radio to Becker with a CD
since its old... its a 4 speed transmission which makes it slower and less efficient.
Overall review:
the car is worth whatever you're paying. If it wasn't because the engine is old and hte parts are worn and fail a bit, i'd choose it over the new ones (except the W221)
