Classy Sports Car
by Kool from KY on 08/25/2004.
Trim: 1998 BMW Z3 1.9, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
Mostly everything. It rides great, handles great, sounds great and looks great!
Cons:
The sounds system could be stronger especially when driving with the top down. Could use an ashtray especially since there's a lighter.
Overall review:
It's truly a classy sports car. Sure it could use more power but's there's enough for me. It's great to get compliments almost everytime I drive it. I will be driving this car for many many years!

...Happiness is the corner.
by Al - Philadelphia, PA on 07/29/2004.
Trim: 1998 BMW Z3 2.8, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros:
Drives fast, easy to wash, looks classy, heated seats with the top open, lots of enthusiasts on the web to talk to, tape player works great with my IPod, roll bars and air bags make me feel safe while flying down the highway, shifts gears like a Porsche, draws compliments from all kinds of people, the shark gills, the long nose, the upgraded 17
Cons:
Caring for the rag top with the plastic window, gas gauge flickers when the gas tank is topped off, black paint seems to chip easily, lack of missle launchers.
Overall review:
One of the greatest convertible sports cars available in it's class. It has inspired me to save up for a Porsche Boxster. I wonder how much of the car is made in North Carolina? Good luck finding yours!

Pros:
It is more car than you can imagine. It's mechancally sound, plenty of power, and incredible control. Get the 16' wheels, because it handles even better.
Cons:

1998 BMW Z3
by Red-headed Quilter on 04/06/2003.
Trim: 1998 BMW Z3 2.8, Owned 5 years.
1
Pros:
Performance, Handling,Appearance, Quality,FPG (fun per gallon)
Cons:
I was told it has a "smart seat" airbag but honestly cannot find that in my book. I need an airbag switch to be sure the airbag won't deploy when a small person rides with me.
Overall review:
Bought this car sight unseen. Purchased because it was love at first sight for the model. Felt confident I could buy a BMW without driving it first. Was not disappointed. It was a five hour drive home for the dealership, then when I arrived home, I drove it another four hours. Local dealer took care of the minor problems under warranty. I plan to celebrate our five years together in June, and its been a great 27000 miles.

Awesome 007 rocket!
by Dave from El Centro, CA on 12/04/2002.
Trim: 1998 BMW Z3 1.9, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
Awesome James Bond rocket!! Second beemer I've owned and by far the best handling sports car I've driven. Surprisingly comfortable on a long drive (400 mi.). Excellent acceleration for a 1.9 cylinder and superb braking. Shifts smoothly and takes the curbs like if it's on rails. Very fun to drive and a major attention-getter. Women love this car...maybe that's why my wife insists on going with me whenever I take it out...hhhmmm......
Cons:
Not a good choice for a heavy-set or tall person (over 5-11 or over 200 lbs.) My friend who is 5-11 and 210 could not fit inside it comfortably. Radio is so-so, but with an added XM satellite radio receiver, it is better for long drives.
Overall review:
Excellent car to have for a weekend getaway with your honey or to tool around and pickup chicks if you're single. Best performs on hairpin curves up in the mountains. A joy to drive. This is a great second car for tooling around on the weekends but I would not use it as a daily driver.
