Pros: Reliable car. Pick up is very good. I like it very much.

The most unreliable car I have ever owned. by Ham on 06/23/2009. Trim: 1998 Mazda 626 LX, Owned more than 10 years.

Useful?

Pros: Roomy and comfortable. Good truck space, sunroof and leg room.

Cons: Poor automatic transmission, some of the controls, questionable reliability, better gas mileage.

Overall review: The most unreliable car I have ever owned. The automatic transmission died at only 100K, replaced unit and newest transmission is acting up again at only 140K. Transmission goes, the car goes to the scrap heap... Turns out there are a lot of problems and articles about this specific transmission. Rust is another unexpected problem. The bottom of the doors and on top of the passenger side strut tower seem common places for serious rust holes. If you're considering a used 626 DO NOT EVEN look at an automatic. The ones with manuals seem very reliable.

Useful?

Pros: Very nice and smooth, so far very few break down, very good in gas milage. Very cheap parts. Very spacious inside. Larg trunck. I really enjoy driving this car especially on long trips.It is really BOLD car.

Cons: Not so many accessories. The one I have has manual windows, no cruise control, the trunck can only be oppend by keys.

Overall review: This is very good deal for the money you pay. Good for students and families.
