Millie lover by Mel from Ohio on 12/23/2008. Trim: 1996 Mazda Millenia Base, Owned 6 years.
Pros: Everything. Excellent car. Have had this car for many years, and it is by far the best car I have ever owned. Its at 160k miles currently, and I have only had to replace the timing belt/water pump at @140k miles, nothing else. It runs like a tank and nothing can keep it down, even in the coldest of temps, it starts right up. Incredibly fun to drive, the handling is outstanding.
Cons: Not much, like other millenia owners I have had issues with the check engine light randomly coming on and then going off again...its seems to be just a misfire, because nothing is ever wrong with the car, when checked.
Overall review: If you can get a millenia used with low miles (100k or under)...jump on it. It will be your favorite car. I will drive mine until it can go no longer.

An Awesome Used Car Choice by Chillidog on 11/09/2001. Trim: 1996 Mazda Millenia L, Owned 4 years.
Pros: The millenia looks and rides great. I have 80,000 trouble free miles on mine. A great choice in the "almost luxury" category. It is comparable to the Lexus ES-300 and the mid-range Infiniti.... but for much less. A slightly used millenia is your best bet since they retain their value poorly, they make great a great used car choice. Low mileage late model millenia's can be purchased for incredibly low prices.
Cons: The back seat does not fold down to allow access thru to the trunk.
Overall review: This model was originally designed to be the flagship of Mazda's "Amati" luxury lineup (like Toyota's Lexus, Nissan's infiniti, Honda's Acura, etc) but the idea was canned...so the new Millenia entered the Mazda lineup in 1994 as an early 1995 model. Heads up. If you buy a used 1995 millenia, it may actually have been built and sold in early 1994...check the date of manufacture on the metal plate in the driver's side door jam. Because it's not a luxury name and the mazda does'nt have a "Lexus/Mercedes/BMW pre-owned certified car" program (specifically designed to jack up their used car prices) the millenia holds it's value poorly....thus a late model pre-owned millenia can be had for a song....and they're an awesome car!
