nice rwd, cheap, reliable, good mpg and classic car!
by EF3Si on 02/05/2009.
Trim: 1993 Mazda MX-5 Miata Base, Owned 9 years.

Pros:
the car handles very well and is very reliable. there are many aftermarket parts available for this vehicle for very cheap. gas mileage is great, gearbox is great, top down is great and did i mention RWD. drifting is a cheap option here compared to nissans and others. this car is a classic and very fun to drive.
Cons:
people say that the room is cramped, but the majority of people who say that are over 6 feet tall. i am 5-8 and its great for me! just depends on how tall you are haha.
Overall review:
this car is great overall. overall describes it.

Why own anything else?
by Mike from Alabama on 02/23/2008.
Trim: 1993 Mazda MX-5 Miata Base, Owned 2 years.
1
Pros:
Handling, gas mileage, fun to drive, virtually bulletproof reliability, excellent performance, and ease of operation. It costs so little to operate. There are literally thousands of websites offering aftermarket items to increase all aspects of performance, handling, and appearance.
Cons:
Interior room a little cramped, I am 6' tall. Other than that, I love it. If this is all to complain about, I have to remind myself that its a sports car.
Overall review:
This is without a doubt the least expensive vehicle to operate, that I have ever had the pleasure of owning. Gas mileage is between 30 and 35 mpg regularly, performance is good for engine size, handling is great, and fun factor is off the charts. Compared to other sports cars costing thousands more, this is the bargain of all bargains. I will always own one.

The Big Grin Machine
by Goldenbear on 07/26/2007.
Trim: 1993 Mazda MX-5 Miata Base, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros:
The ride and feel of a sports cars--zoom-zoom. It's hard to wipe the grin off your face when you consider the dependable, economical value of this fun little roadster. Tight, road-hugging and solid. I only wished we would have bought this car years ago.
Cons:
Sacrifice storage capacity and comfort on longer trips.
Overall review:
Excellent value sports car--durable and simple.

"Good Little Ride"
by Mike on 03/16/2005.
Trim: 1993 Mazda MX-5 Miata Base, Owned 3 years.
1
Pros:
It's styling, the way the paint has held up, the convertible feature
Cons:
Bought mine used in 2001, it had 56K miles on it. I have replaced the top and now the radio needs replacing and the heater fan, too.
But, gee..the car is 12 years old!! So..no big problem. I am almost too tall to enjoy driving it, but wife and daughter enjoy it.
Overall review:
I like it, but would sell it if I could get top dollar..but I can't so I won't..
