Pros:
I have owned this car for 12 years and have only replaced battery once and had a new water pump installed. In my opinion it has done quite well. My mileage is now 176,000 and going.
Cons:
They discontinued the model.
Overall review:
I give the 1991 Mazda an excellent rating.

Good car
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 04/01/2003.
Trim: 1991 Mazda 626 LE sedan, Owned more than 10 years.

Pros:
Very economical on gasoline. Very Reliable.
Cons:
AC requires moderate to serious servicing very 2-3 years.
Overall review:
This car was bought new off the lot. Initially wind noise and brakes were a problem but the dealership finally made it right. Since then the biggest problem has been the AC. All told we have spent about $1,400 on the AC system over the last 7 years, which isn't too bad considering we have lived in Savannah , GA and Corpus Christi, TX during that time. All other systems have worked flawlessly. The car now has 134,000 miles and continues to deliver reliable transportation and sips gasoline at 25 mpg! At this point the paint is showing the effects of the brutal sun.

The Timex of all cars....takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin!
by Don on 03/25/2010.

Useful?
Pros:
I bought this vehicle 8 yrs ago with 206,000 miles on it. I drive it like I stole it everyday. It is my daily driver I commute with 86 miles round trip each day to work and back. I now have 333,000 miles on it and it still gets 33.5 mpg on the highway at and above highway speeds. I would reccomend this car to anyone. It is fun and economical to drive.I do not plan on getting rid of this car. It is the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. I love my little 5 speed ZOOM! ZOOM!
Cons:
At this point in my car's life there really are no cons. I am a mechanic by trade and anything that has gone wrong since I've owned this car falls into the normal wear and tear category in my opinion.
Overall review:
I would reccomend this car to anyone. It is great on gas, handles like a dream, still comfortable to ride in, and can still squawk the tires in 1st,2nd, & 3rd gears when I drive her like I stole her.
