Logical Analysis a Great Luxury vehicle by Logical Man on 02/21/2004. Trim: 1995 Lexus ES 300, Owned 7 years.
Pros: Great Engine Smoothness. 1995 Smart-Transmission is really smooth also. Lexus has THE BEST paint jobs in the Industry hands down, if taken care of properly. Still looks new. Resale value is great. Car still Drives great even at 150,000 miles.
Cons: Depends on the Driver. Soft ride is not for everyone, but is good for most anyone but driving enthusiasts who should buy a BMW anyway. This car is about comfortably getting you from point A to B and looking classy. Avoid the Grey Leather. It if not as soft as the Tan Leather. It may look better at the dealer, but you will notice the soft vs hardness of the grey leather once you own the car for a while
Overall review: Those who compare this car to Camry should quantify the comparison. The two cars are COUSINS, not BROTHERS. Meaning they are similar, and you can tell they are from the same family but both offer a different experience. I have owned both, and prefer the LEXUS only because I buy all my cars used and not new. I have found that Lexus owners "IN GENERAL", probably take better care of their cars, and I had much less trouble out of the ES300 than the Camry. Neither is as bad as my FORD, but the Lexus definitely holds up longer. TIRES MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE ON THIS VEHICLE. GET YOKOHAMA'S NOT SOFT MICHELINS. Soft tires and a soft suspension do not mix.

Love my Lexus! by Esther in West Virginia on 02/26/2009. Trim: 1995 Lexus ES 300, Owned 4 years.
Pros: The body style is classic. The paint still looks wonderful. It still accelerates like the dickens, even being this old. Maintenance free.
Cons: My only complaint is the placement of the cup holder - it is too close to the radio, which impedes channel-chasing when a drink is in the holder.
Overall review: I love this car! After l50K+ miles, it runs like a trooper and does not look it's age! We bought it 4 yrs ago at a great price from a private owner. I hope that it runs forever as I will probably not be able to afford another.
