Pros:
This car is much better than what I thought. Lots of cargo space, a lot of room on rear seat, we have two kids and need 2 car seats, they don't fit quite write on an regular 4 door or SUV, replaced our 530i for this wagon and we are very happy. We also own an 850 GLT non-turbo and you can tell the wagon really pushes 265HP when you ask her fot them. Excellent handling when exiting the highway, flawless so far, just regular maintenance.
Cons:
A little bit noisy, specially when you raise it at 5-6000 rpm and the turbo is at max boost.

Low maintaince great snow car

Pros:
Handles nicely in the rain and snow. Zero problems since our purchase 4 years ago. Would sell this car to my mother.
Cons:
A volvo mechanic buddy advised against the 2001V70XC as this first model year is prone to issues after 60k
Overall review:
Great car for around town and taking skiing. Has required nothing special other than scheduled maintainence for the past four years.

Pros:
The interior of the SE package is very elegant. I receive lots of compliments from passengers and an occacsional ("oh, this car is really nice!") I also like the fact that I am not driving a big huge SUV like the rest of the world.
I also like the floormats. I checked out the Saab wagon and didn't like its floormats nearly as much. So I bought the Volvo!
Cons:
Can't think of any. Still pretty happy with the car.

This is a great car. Ditch the SUV and get a Volvo!
