2012 hyundai accent review by ydeardorff on 01/15/2014. Trim: 2014 Hyundai Accent GLS 4-Door, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: The 2012 hyundai accent is probably the mosr solid and well put together subcompact Ive ever owned. Quiet, smooth and a solid feel worthy of a car much larger in hyundais lineup. Though the EPA ratings say in the thirties to the gallon, I have rarely ever gotten less than 40mpg on any drive even in 35mph traffic.
Cons: Cons: Narrow wheel track (vehicle width) can cause the car to search for a clean area of road while driving on highways. Stereo display is a very bright blue. This can be distracting at night or in bad weather. A simple press of the display button turns the display off.
Overall review: The build quality of this car is closer to the Sonata than a typical subcompact. This car is highly reccomeneded for any student, or family starting out. High MPG, great to drive, comfortable and quiet. Very high value for the dollar. This rides and drives like a much more expensive car. Im over 6 foot tall and this car is still roomy and very comfortable.

Simply a Great Sub-compact by Christian from New York on 03/13/2014. Trim: 2014 Hyundai Accent GLS 4-Door.

Pros: The 2014 Accent is great for getting around town and where you need to go on little gas. The car is very economical, and if accelerating smoothly, it's very easy to get a combined, city/highway MPG of 35-40. This car isn't one to race, but the acceleration is responsive and predictable, handling below highway speeds is fluid, and the brakes are very good as well. The interior is truly excellent for a sub-compact, with tight seams, well-textured and sturdy hard plastics, a clean center console, comfortable seats, and generally appealing looks. The exterior also looks great and is not overly-complicated.
Cons: When on the highway the 2014 Accent is certainly competent but will sometimes want to move toward grooves in the road (likely since it is a sub-compact and has a narrow body) and may require the driver's attention from time to time.
Overall review: After renting this car for the better part of a week and putting a few hundred miles on it, I can say that the 2014 Hyundai Accent is a great sub-compact that will get you around with little fuss and on little gas. It is a comfortable, spacious, and well-performing car, that is also very aesthetically pleasing both inside and out. The Accent is well worth the price, providing great value on the dollar. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an economical, affordable car that get's the job done in style, and I will certainly consider the Accent when in the market for a new car.

A satisfying daily driver by paul on 06/11/2014. Trim: 2014 Hyundai Accent GS 5-Door, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: I have a GS 5 door hatchback with a flashing brake light (part of a dealer specified safety package). There are 2 taillights in a large taillight lens, which lessens the possibility of a rear end collision. The combination of nitrogen filled tires and a rear suspension re-design make this subcompact ride better than the 2013 Elantra (which I also own). The cloth interior looks like the material used to make bulletproof garments. The same appealing exterior body style has now filtered down from the large Sonata through to the Elantra and now to the Accent.
Cons: Too new to dislike. So far, this is a satisfying experience for the money spent.
Overall review: A great car for less than $15,000. Sticker shock in 2014 leads to the conclusion that an excellent subcompact car now costs $16000 (adding taxes and delivery charge). Hopefully the styling and the good gas mileage keep you smiling as you use this everyday car.

Good Choice by Bruce from Boston area on 05/09/2014. Trim: 2014 Hyundai Accent SE 5-Door, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros: Feels and drives like a much larger car. The SE Hatchback has all the "bells and whistles". Very good vision out the windows. No squeaks or rattles. Super radio with CD and Sirius XM and Bluetooth.
Cons: No compact spare tire but available as an aftermarket kit at Hyundai dealers for around $250. Worth having for peace of mind. A bit noisy under hard acceleration. Plan on getting better tires if you drive on snow because these tires (like all original equipment tires) are made for gas mileage and don't have any snow traction.
Overall review: Strongly recommend the Accent Hatchback over competitors selling for thousands more money.

Hats off to Hyundai workers by An MSN Autos Consumer on 07/23/2014. Trim: 2014 Hyundai Accent GLS 4-Door, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: This vehicle is more in line with the Elantra or Sonata only with slightly less power. Great car for your dollar. I have driven this vehicle across the country, in cities and on rural roads. A pleasant suprise is that the mpg is steadly above 40 mpg even though it is not advertised as being this high. I am quite impressed with the overall comfort, quality and price of this roomy vehicle.
Cons: Only con is a slight annoyance with the radio display at night as it cannot be dimmed... But the display can be turned off.
Overall review: I would recommend this vehicle to anyone and would buy another.
