2012 hyundai accent review by ydeardorff on 01/15/2014. Trim: 2014 Hyundai Accent GLS 4-Door, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: The 2012 hyundai accent is probably the mosr solid and well put together subcompact Ive ever owned. Quiet, smooth and a solid feel worthy of a car much larger in hyundais lineup. Though the EPA ratings say in the thirties to the gallon, I have rarely ever gotten less than 40mpg on any drive even in 35mph traffic.
Cons: Cons: Narrow wheel track (vehicle width) can cause the car to search for a clean area of road while driving on highways. Stereo display is a very bright blue. This can be distracting at night or in bad weather. A simple press of the display button turns the display off.
Overall review: The build quality of this car is closer to the Sonata than a typical subcompact. This car is highly reccomeneded for any student, or family starting out. High MPG, great to drive, comfortable and quiet. Very high value for the dollar. This rides and drives like a much more expensive car. Im over 6 foot tall and this car is still roomy and very comfortable.

Simply a Great Sub-compact by Christian from New York on 03/13/2014. Trim: 2014 Hyundai Accent GLS 4-Door.
Pros: The 2014 Accent is great for getting around town and where you need to go on little gas. The car is very economical, and if accelerating smoothly, it's very easy to get a combined, city/highway MPG of 35-40. This car isn't one to race, but the acceleration is responsive and predictable, handling below highway speeds is fluid, and the brakes are very good as well. The interior is truly excellent for a sub-compact, with tight seams, well-textured and sturdy hard plastics, a clean center console, comfortable seats, and generally appealing looks. The exterior also looks great and is not overly-complicated.
Cons: When on the highway the 2014 Accent is certainly competent but will sometimes want to move toward grooves in the road (likely since it is a sub-compact and has a narrow body) and may require the driver's attention from time to time.
Overall review: After renting this car for the better part of a week and putting a few hundred miles on it, I can say that the 2014 Hyundai Accent is a great sub-compact that will get you around with little fuss and on little gas. It is a comfortable, spacious, and well-performing car, that is also very aesthetically pleasing both inside and out. The Accent is well worth the price, providing great value on the dollar. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an economical, affordable car that get's the job done in style, and I will certainly consider the Accent when in the market for a new car.
