A solid player in the midsize market by BrianMA on 11/25/2013. Trim: 2014 Chevrolet Malibu 1LT.
Pros: The new 2.5L I4 engine and updated 6 speed automatic really work smoothly. GM has the best stop/start system and the 2014 Malibu moves it further ahead (note to BMW and VW - borrow one of these and take notes to fix your jerky and rough systems). Average mileage in a weekend of driving 80% city/20% highway) was 31 mpg. MyLink radio gives you great access to infotainment. NAV system is one of the best in the market.
Cons: A few more inches in wheelbase would help make the back seat a bit more spacious. To be honest though, both adults riding in the back had no complaints. Rear headroom is much better than on new Mazda6, Fusion, and Altima.
Overall review: A solid vehicle for the money in LT1 or LT2 trim . Rebates will make it a better deal as the ultra-competitive midsize market will require some cash on the hood to move 20K units a month (it's not just a Malibu thing - Accord and Camry already have money on the hood of their 2014 models too).

Mr Chevy 458 by Fast lane on 10/20/2013. Trim: 2014 Chevrolet Malibu 3LT, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: This is a very underrated car just because some larger people think the back seat is to small. But it rides like a larger car and is very quiet on the road. The car is very good on the twisty back roads but also loves the fast lane.
Cons: High price may turn some people off. Could also use a longer wheel base.
Overall review: Love driving an American car that feels good. It has no problem with speed if you opt for the Turbo.

2014 Malibu Re-Loaded by JamesG on 10/19/2013. Trim: 2014 Chevrolet Malibu 3LT.
Pros: Interior Design are sharp 2.0 Turbo nice powertrain Ride and Handling are strong points
Cons: $$$$$---->a bit pricey when compared to other cars in its class Exterior Styling: Why not restyle the rear if you restyle the front facisia????
Overall review: 2014 Malibu was an immediate restyle and update to the 2013 model that fell well short of expectations but, that is the past and we are in the present. This Malibu, I would rate it in the middle of the pack when compared to your Optima, Sonata, Mazda6, Accord.etc. Chevy made some serious leaps and bounds especially with the drivetrain by giving it more power and torque to the wheels. Interior is high class and feels luxurious. Guess what, interior space has grown due to complaints about the previous model year. The exterior styling isn't the most dynamic or eye catching car in its class but, it gets the job done and looks tough. Definitely recommend going with the bigger wheel option, gives the car a nice stance. Overall the Malibu is up to the task and should be considered by any shopper in the mid-size sedan category.
