Excellent car at this price point by An MSN Autos Consumer on 03/04/2014. Trim: 2014 Volkswagen CC R-Line, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Great acceleration, *good* gas mileage (not great). Well reviewed and affordable tuning options for the car from GOapr and others. Seriously considering the stage 1 tune myself for about $500.00 - gives the car another ~35 hp and ~80 torque. I really enjoy the bluetooth connectivity.
Cons: The rattles! Intermittent rattle from the glove box and almost constant rattle from the instrument panel. VW - you can do better than this! This car has 8000 miles and rattles more than the 2006 Hyundai Sonata I traded toward it.
Overall review: I seriously considered this car for two reasons - the features at the price point and the availability of the manual transmission (VW is one of the few in the US that provides this in a decent percentage of cars). I am very happy with my purchase. I plan to check with the dealership at my next scheduled free maintenance to see if they can do anything about the rattles.

Luxury Sports Coupe by Bart from Des Moines on 01/07/2014. Trim: 2014 Volkswagen CC 2.0T Executive, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Awesome styling, quality materials inside and out, regal yet fun performance, better fuel economy than window sticker, unique, awesome ammenities. Long maintenance intervals. Great in snow.
Cons: Tires cupped in the 1st 15,000 miles making the car go from very quiet to a lot of road noise. Glove box and dash vibration noise that comes and goes. High maintenance cost when it comes (but remember it is required less than avg car)
Overall review: This car does a great job in many ways. It is luxurious, beautiful, fun, and sporty. VW's attention to detail, pays off in performance, better MPG, excellent snow handling. The climate control works well, but does take longer to warm up or cool down than the average car. Whether you do your own maintenance or take it to someone, it is harder to find acceptable maintenance items, even the right oil. They are costly, but when you break it down that they last longer that the average car, it works out to costing you the same and you take it in for maintenance less often.
