Best 2014 Truck! by Dan from Peoria, Il on 09/15/2013. Trim: 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 1LZ Double Cab 4WD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: With the 5.3L LTZ this truck is amazing. I don't understand your review. First it does have a manual telescoping steering wheel. It runs very smooth, no detection when it drops V8 cyls down to V4. I have compared the Dodge and Ford. The Chevy beats them out. It is smooth driving, quieter than many cars. It is very quick also. I cannot detect the transmission shifting at all. The digital display is great also. The cruise control is "right on" set speed. The ride is superior.
Cons: I have the LTZ. The seats are too short, center display screen is too upright, needs tilted back. The backup camera takes too long to brighten up. The steering wheel column is at a weird angle to the driver. The arm rest controls are too far forward. I have to lean forward to control the mirrors. I reach to unlock the doors and hit the window button. The buttons on the steering wheel are too small. The 2 glove boxes are a joke. I would prefer one large, well thought out glove box. It steers very hard around corners. Square fender wells?? So far, with babying it, the gas mileage is 15.6 only. The V4 hardly ever kicks in unless you are coasting. I wanted the 6.2L but it was not available yet.
Overall review: I have had 5 friends with trucks drive my 2014 LTZ. One friend also drives a Cadillac. They all said it was amazingly fast, quiet, rode like a nice car. Everyone loved the electric rear sliding window. All of them said they would trade for a Silverado next time they trade. I traded in a Dodge Dakota myself. I will get side steps. I have the 20" wheels and tires. It needs a step ladder. I wish it had the automatic steps like the Ford Explorer. I drove the new Dodge Ram and it does not compare at all for me. It definitely is a "TRUCK". The Ford F150 Lariat truck interior is terrible also, and the front looks like a semi.

Well Built Truck by An MSN Autos Consumer on 08/31/2013. Trim: 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2LT Crew Cab 4WD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Traded in my 2012 LT 1500 for a 2014 LT 1500 with Off Road features. Fuel economy has increased by 15% and road noise has decreased significantly. Seating is more comfortable and leg room is excellent. Backup camera is greatly improved. Have been very pleased with the changes.
Cons: So far have nothing to report.
Overall review: Highly recommend the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado

Many trips to the shop ahead. by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/09/2013. Trim: 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 1LT Crew Cab Long Box 4WD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: None as far as I can see.
Cons: I've had numerous problems with a bad rattling noise come from the engine. GM won't fix it they say its fine this truck has a cheap feel to it.
Overall review: I can't recommend this truck to anyone. Poorly put together.

Worst truck I've owned. by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/08/2013. Trim: 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 1LZ Crew Cab Long Box 4WD, Owned less than 1 year.
Cons: Had to have the engine torn apart to have a lifter replaced! Also had front differential leaking and GM has gave me nothing but trouble about fixing the issues. I had to raise all kinds of h e double L to get them to fix it. I will never buy another Government Motors product again and that includes Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, And Cadillac.
Overall review: Terrible product that is unreliable and bland in the redesign altogether. Wished I would've stuck with Ford and bought an F-150.
