Problem Jeep by spudislander from Oakhurst, CA on 11/12/2003. Trim: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee SE 4WD, Owned 2 years.
Pros: I like the security, handling, styling, comfortable drive, visual,
Cons: Replaced Items: Transmission - Twice; rear end, exhaust manifold - twice, rotors, radiator, engine has bulletins out on it, some people ask me if Jeep now makes a Diesel??, power module for windows.
Overall review: this is a 1994 and still only has 113,000 miles. very expensive to maintain, I have put 3000.00 into it in the last three months, but I still love the Jeep, just not this year, or the 1993 has the same problems.

Nice truck by Nick on 11/26/2002. Trim: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD, Owned 8 years.
Pros: Very well built vehicle and has lasted me 90K miles for for almost 9 years without and major mechanical issues. This car has never broken down. The cars gas mileage increases greatly when you install a Fuel Injection Performance Kit like the ones K&N sells.
Cons: Well built but it needs good attention all fluids and services have to be done on time or you'll pay for it later on. The viscous coupling which needs to be replaced at around 80K costs a bit much for something that has such a small service life. A tip to current jeep owners and soon to be jeep owners: If you feel that your car jerks and tries to stop when you turn or back up while 4WD is engaged then your vehicle needs its VISCOUS COUPLING changed otherwise you will pay for big transmission and differential damage costs.
Overall review: Great suv, I have always changed all the fluids and done all the required services. That has paid off because the car runs just like it did when we first purchased it almost nine years ago. It can take quite an amount of abuse like heavy towing and off-roading as long as you take care off it. I would serously recommend buying a FIPK from K&N. It has boosted my gas mileage dramatically and the car starts very easily now. Not to mention it replaces the air filter so no more thrity dollar filters to buy.

jeep 5spd by A MSN Autos Consumer on 10/28/2002. Trim: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee SE 4WD, Owned 4 years.
Pros: The power and the torque. performance is terrific, manual transmission is good, but could ' ve used a better one and not discontinued the optional tranny choices
Cons: none. Do the regular maintenence and it'll be all right!!!! THAT WOULD BE A JEEP THING OR SHOULD I SAY "ONLY IN A JEEP"
Overall review: modify an" in line six" and you'll sure get a lot of attention. example:intake,exhaust,etc....then where talk'in about performance&power!!
