Love my IS by Texas T Dub on 02/06/2013. Trim: 2013 Lexus IS 250 RWD, Owned 1 year.

Pros: I've had two IS 250s my 2011 is excellent. Fun to drive, quick and responsive and they took care of the brake dust problem found on earlier models. Handle's like a sports car with amazing acceleration at higher speeds. I've got 50k plus miles and am still on my first set of brakes. It's small and agile and the turning ratio is very good so you can get into and out of tight spots. Fuel usage is very good for a sports car - I got up to 36 MPG on a recent road trip. I'm somewhat of an audiophile and the sound system is amazing. The interior is nice and not cheap looking like other cars in its class. Space is decent in the trunk.

Cons: It's expensive to maintain. You can't rotate the tires and the front tires wear down quickly on the inside, plan on spending $800-$1k or more on a set of four. After two years I'm on my 3rd set of front tires. Go cheap on the tires and it sounds like you're driving a tractor. Good tires are the way to go for performance and a quiet ride. Brakes are costly too. This car seats two comfortably, I'm 6 foot, fit in easily - as long as no one is behind me. There is virtually no leg room in the back. Limited space, be careful what you buy at BestBuy - what fits in a Camery won't fit in the IS.

Overall review: It's a great car, solid and performs and looks great! As long as you don't need much space for larger items or have the need to carry 3 or 4 passengers this car is great.
