Excellent All-Around SUV

Pros:
Very roomy, smooth ride, traditional SUV body style, navigation with traffic, abundant storage and power outlets.
Cons:
High step-in (recommend running boards), some road noise at highway speeds, 3.5L V6 engine only 250HP.
Overall review:
I was also considering the Toyota 4Runner, Highlander and Mazda CX-9 but the Honda Pilot gives more bang for the buck. Traded in my 2008 Honda Accord EX-L V6 w/NAV for the Pilot and it is considerably quieter. Road noise is higher than that of the 4Runner and Highlander but not to the point of being annoying as was with the Accord. I prefer the traditional truck-like exterior of the Pilot over the aerodynamic styling of other car-based SUV so it's a plus. Adjustable second row seats allows third row seats to fit adults comfortably. My main gripe is that the Pilot has the same 3.5L V6 engine as the Accord (which has 271HP) but for the Pilot it only outputs 250HP (possibly for better fuel economy). For practicality it works fine. Overall I'm happy with the Pilot. It's an excellent all-around SUV.

Pros:
This is my second Pilot and my fourth Honda. The details on this model are great and I'm hoping the reliability matches what I've seen in my other Hondas. They've improved the creature comforts and updated the trim line. I love the backup camera, the power tailgate, and the back window now opening.
Cons:
I was hoping for greater fuel economy, but am optimistic that after mine is broken in that I get the promised 25 m.p.g.
Overall review:
A nice, stylish, safe vehicle with all of the amenities. I'll enjoy owning this one for years.

Best 4WD

Pros:
I have a 2011, 4WD. It is the best vehicle. I get good gas mileage (19 mpg around town) can hold 8 passengers, have never met a condition it could not handle. I am a Realtor and have to go in mud, woods, steep inclines, gravel driveways, snow. I am 110% satisified with this car. I pulled a full size truck with a 26ft boat attached out of a ditch. This car has been awesome! Cargo space when 3rd row is down is excellent
Cons:
I wish it was more aerodynamic like the CRV, The 2 wheel drive does not handle very well in rain, gravels, inclines. I traded a '07 2wd for a '11 4wd. Its not as roomy as the odyssey for travel if you have small kids in car seats.
