Versatile option for all buyers by An MSN Autos Consumer on 12/07/2012. Trim: 2013 Dodge Durango Citadel AWD.
18
Pros: Price, Luxury, Versatility, Truck-Like, Smooth Ride, Comfort, Bang for buck, Cargo Capacity
Cons: Nothing. This should suit anyone and everyones needs.
Overall review: The vehicle seems to be the absolute perfect for someone who is looking for versatility and luxury without a big price tag. Also perfect if you don't want a truck or big suv, but still need space. Some of the luxury crossovers such as the Enclave should watch out for this! It has more features and is more luxurious and versatile for almost 10k less! Also easy to drive without cargo/space sacrifice and why get a minivan when you could get this? The Explorer is really close but the durango is definitely bigger but handles the same.

The right SUV with the right options for the right price. by Joey D on 07/18/2013. Trim: 2013 Dodge Durango SXT AWD, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: Flexibility with options without the need to upgrade to a much higher priced package . Even though I have cloth interior, it is VERY comfortable. Nice and roomy. With the V6 I am averaging 19 MPG in combined driving and still have a good towing capacity. Handling is great for an SUV, and ride is very smooth.
Cons: Touch screen for the radio could be a little more intuitive. If you drive aggressively, fuel efficiency goes WAY down.
Overall review: Dodge managed to be the only one who packaged the right options. I was looking for a full sized SUV with a back-up camera that didn't cost $35K+. I purchased a Durango SXT AWD with the popular equipment package and power drivers seat for $28K with incentives. Where can you buy a beast like this for that price? I was leaning toward the Hyundai Santa Fe GLS AWD, but the only way I could get a backup camera was by adding all options, which took the vehicle to over $35K. There were no incentives on the Hyundai at the time, so the best deal I could wing was $33K. I would rather pocket $5K and still get what I wanted without compromising.

dodge 1st timers by kelly on 03/27/2013. Trim: 2013 Dodge Durango Citadel AWD, Owned 1 year.

Pros: always been chevy family. my wife wanted smaller and more fuel efficient than her Suburban. looked at small to mid size suvs, but what you gain in gas mileage doesn't seem worth it compared to the space and comfort you sacrifice. we test drove loaded jeep & really liked it, but even wife said it felt too cramped with just us and 2 kids in back. this citadel was sitting on the show room floor and the rest is history. it had all the luxury and accessories we were looking for and more. the styling is very unique and more muscular looking than most suvs. the V8 hemi moves out smoothly, (albeit sucking gas), but it drives more like a sport car than a suv or truck. 3rd row is useable & folds flat
Cons: we live in snowy mn and noticed the front end doesn't have suburban type clearance for those really heavy snow days. that said, the AWD citadel V8 had no problem going down unplowed road with 8-10 inches snow on it. another minor thing noticed is that the windshield washer jets are positioned on the hood as such so they leave a trail of washer fluid on hood between them and windshield whenever used.
Overall review: 10,000 miles in and so far so good, very happy with the purchase. wife loves driving experience compared to the suburban. i love the V8 Hemi acceleration and throaty roar. styling looks tough but classy. a loaded citadel seems like a good value compared against other suvs in class.

BEST SUV by An MSN Autos Consumer on 04/13/2013. Trim: 2013 Dodge Durango Citadel RWD, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: I never considered Dodge before but this ends up being the best SUV I test drove. It is smooth and comes super loaded in the Citadel. Very versatile, comfortable and responsive. I highly recommend it. I love the ventilated seats. They are very cold and it comes in very handy with hot Florida summers.
Cons: No Cons.
Overall review: The Best SUV!
