Pros:
The car is very well built and has been trouble free. It is a fun car to drive and is quite peppy with the 1.4L turbo engine. The fuel economy is in the mid 30's. We love the unique styling of the car and appreciate its smart use of space. We considered many other compact cars and each time the Sonic came back as the best value for our money.
Cons:
Nothing really but if I had to be picky I suggest adding four wheel disc brakes on the LTZ model.
Overall review:
No regrets on buying this car as its combination of styling, fuel economy, features and "fun to drive" factor is hard to beat. The build quality of Chevrolet cars is world class competitive.

Pros:
I just love my new Sonic. I walked into the Chevy dealership to buy a used 2010 Malibu having spent weeks researching cars but once I saw the Sonic & took it for a drive, I was hooked. From the shimmering crystal red color to the 1.4L turbo engine, the Sirius satellite radio, mobile Bluetooth, USB port, OnStar turn-by-turn navigation & crash response (although with 10 airbags I wasn't too concerned about crashing) I loved this car. And that car can boogie. I was on the freeway & looked at the very large odometer numbers (which was a plus for this Baby Boomer) & I was doing 95 mph uphill. Despite its size, there is plenty of legroom, headroom & a large trunk. And the mileage is fantastic.
Cons:
There is nothing about this vehicle I really "dislike". But as someone else stated earlier, it is difficult to see out the rear window when you are backing out of a garage or parking spot and that is because the backs of the front seats are too high and you can't see over them so you have to look around them & that's a little awkward. But it's really not that big a distraction.
Overall review:
This is an excellent car at an affordable price with a lot of the bells & whistles that usually only come with luxury cars. It has style, comfort, practicality, safety, economy and state of the art technology. I love having the controls for the radio stations, the sound volume for the stereo, cruise controls and being able to use the mobile phone without taking my hands off the steering wheel. Can't get much better than that in my book. When I was a little girl I always wanted to "see the USA in my Chevrolet" and now I can. Thanks Chevrolet!

Awesome - "Fun" - vehicle for it's price

Pros:
This car is a great buy for the sticker price. The value you can get in this size vehicle is too good to be true. The space inside is plenty for a family of 4 or even 5. I'm a tall with long legs and my kids fit fine in the back seat. My wife and I sat in the backseats to make sure there was plenty of room. From the sunroof, to the Mylink system, to the cool gadgets & controls make this car fun to drive. I look forward to driving this car. The ride is great - fast around curves, visibility is easy with all the window space.
Cons:
Only things I would change are I need more space to put things next to driver-front row passenger. Iphone, work phone, coffee, glasses, garage door opener.
Overall review:
i drive a lot in sales. This car is perfect for what I need. MPG are 30 and i've been driving around the city. I'm so impressed with this little car. I've never had a smaller car and I couldn't be happier. I've driven large SUV's and crossovers and couldn't find anything I liked to drive. It was just another car - until I found this Sonic RS.

Most FUN FOR THE MONEY!!! And Built in Michigan to boot!!!

Pros:
I love, love, love my Sonic... Coming from a 350Z, SuperDuty F350 Diesel Crew Cab, an A6 and A4 Audi, this is a fun car!!! For the money, how come Chevrolet doesn't sell out.. I researched over 6 months, and got a 13 Sonic RS 6-speed... heated seats, power everything, and navigation to boot!!! BringGo works great... Nav for $50 BUCKS!!! Awesome!!! Getting the Trifecta tune to take the power to 175 HP in a few weeks... and lowering the suspension too...Mods are inexpensive and getting over 30 MPG city... I love this car... Oh yeah, MADE IN THE USA??? A true Michigan car... makes it even better... Go Chevrolet!!! :)
Cons:
Nothing. Made 18 inch wheels an option...don't like the RS fog lights or the RS exhaust tip... Should be ROUND like the other thing on the car... Easy fix though :)

fast, fun and a great car for your kids and commuters to drive

Pros:
On the open road the car holds it's own. the 5 speed shifts nice and tight. The motor runs quite and strong. 39 Mpg but only with good synthetic oil like mobile 1 in the motor. The seats holds a Fat man well with room to move and control the car.
Cons:
If your a driver that uses the hand brake you will find that getting to the seat belt on the driver side is impossible its totally blocked. lack of cruse control; I feel it is an option no car should ever be without. The RPMs run hi at 75MPH close to 4000. why no 6th gear to relax the motor.
Overall review:
fast, fun and a great car for your kids and commuters to drive. Even large people will fit in this little car take one for a run.
