No spare tire? No go! by Steve on 04/10/2013. Trim: 2013 Kia Rio LX.
Pros: Styling; Price
Cons: No Spare Tire! Dissapointing gas mileage for such a small vehicle.
Overall review: When I was shopping for a car, I looked at the Kia Rio due to it being very stylish and cheap but what turned me off to it was that it doesn't even a spare tire!!!!!!! It comes with a Fix-a-flat can which is only useful in certain situations. I would never want my wife or daughter getting a flat in the middle of nowhere with no cellphone signal! Bought a 2013 Honda Civic instead and LOVE IT! Yes, it comes with a spare tire!!!!!!

Bad Transmission in an otherwise Nice Car by Billy From Cleveland on 01/20/2013. Trim: 2013 Kia Rio EX 5-Door, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Looks great. Nice interior. Great Fuel mileage. Fun to Drive.
Cons: Transmission has a rhythmic high frequency repeating vibration in sixth gear at highway speeds in sixth gear only. Very annoying. KIA Customer service has been horrible. Very arrogent and condescending attitude. Inherant to the six speed manual transmission according to them. Buyer beware !!!!
Overall review: Nice little car.But Im not only disapointed, Im very unhappy with the purchase based on the transmission problem, and the customer service is completely unaceptable.

27k in less than 18 months. NO COMPLAINTS. This car will fly. by Karen on 03/11/2014. Trim: 2013 Kia Rio LX, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Style, Acceleration and Handling are amazing for cheap little car. This car boogey's with the best of them. I have been nothing but impressed by the get up and go of this little car. Also, the ROOM in this car is amazing. It's like an optical illusion. My son is 6' 5" and fits in the this car easier than my minivan. Handles like a dream, very sporty. Again, something unexpected from a cheap car. Mileage is good (not what they put on the sticker though and I drive conservatively). I average about 33-35 mpg. We put a LOT of miles on this car. Currently at 27k and counting in less than 18 months. No complaint overall. We have been impressed with it.
Cons: The only thing to complain about is the ride and lack of visability out the back window. A backup camera should be standard, but if you learn to drive properly by using your mirrors, its fine. The ride is the biggest complaint. You feel every single bump and there is quite a bit of road noise. The fabric could be better, but this is an econo car. The have to cut costs somewhere. Just like the lack of spare tire. It saves $$ and weight to increase the mpg's. All things you should know before you buy it if you do your research. Overall, minor complaints. NEVER AN ISSUE WITH THIS CAR, just a matter of personal preference.
Overall review: Excellent car for the money. Hard to go wrong. You will save money. Love the adjustability of the drivers seat. The passenger seat needs the same attention. A shorter person cannot see out front window. Car has 27k on it in less than two years. No complaints. Amazing acceleration and handling. Decent MPG's. Sporty, sharp looking. I have the red, get lots of compliments on it. This car is like a limo compared to my 1990 Oldsmobile grandma car. LOVE IT. I have yet to find anything I can't fit in this car. I take my son back and forth the college with all his gear. Never a problem. He's very tall and is much more comfortable in this than an old minivan we had. He has lots of leg room and head room .
