A beautiful ride by Jonniebee from San Francisco on 02/01/2012. Trim: 1996 Jaguar XJS 4.0L convertible, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: 16 year old car and it still runs beautifully. I've had a bit of maintenance, but nothing too out of the ordinary. Trunk space is huge...fits two sets of golf clubs which is particularly nice with a convertible. And it looks gorgeous. Still a headturner after all these years.
Cons: Little tight for the feet for the driver and the back seat is good for insurance purposes only!
Overall review: I love this car. I bought it when it was 5 years old and have used it as a daily driver for over 10 years now. Extremely reliable over all that time. And the styling has never lost its appeal. I'm still getting compliments on it.

The test drive is like picking a strawberry & eating early in the morning! by A 'humble' owner from Oregon on 05/12/2009. Trim: 1996 Jaguar XJS 4.0L convertible, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Styling. Last of the 'big' Jag convertibles. Handling is incredible in curvy roads. Very little wind noise even when top down. Easy conversation while driving top up or down. Workmanship is superb!!
Cons: Cost of parts at Jag. dealers, and shop rates!!!! Good thing there is an after market in parts.
Overall review: This is probably the most "deliciously" designed car out there! Everything is "put together" like they really cared about quality assembly. Can't go wrong owning this vehicle. Resale will always be excellent. Just finding the right buyer will be your challenge when time comes to sell. In the 60's I owned an XK140MC Still kicking myself for not keeping it!!!

love this car by andrew from amherst ny on 03/31/2008. Trim: 1996 Jaguar XJS 4.0L convertible, Owned 7 years.
Pros: the ride! take it on the highway you will enjoy. beautiful body, very slick. like the way you sit. i can spread my legs all the way out very comfy. almost like laying down. just a pleasure to drive
Cons: theres really nothin i dont like. a few things are wierd however. things like the back windows dont roll up when the top comes up like they should. the front windows dont roll up all the way. the cruise control failed. wood have to take all the carpeting out to find out what it was. a little tight on the inside. i have to tilt my foot to the side to avoid hitting the brake pedal while accelerating. nothing else. little things i can live with for me. but things to look out for
Overall review: awesome car. i reccomend it. the six cylinder will run forever. love the way it always starts up every summer no problems. always runs good. wood take anywhere. get this car and go on the thruway u will love it
