Performs as Advertised! by AnxiousAngler on 05/10/2012. Trim: 2013 Acura RDX 6-Spd AT AWD w/ Technology Package, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: Love the handling and pep. Drives like my sedan -- which is what I was looking for. You can really tell its a 6 cylinder when you need it, but I cannot detect when it drops from 6 - 4 - 3 cylinders while crusing; or, when they kick back in. Really quiet yet its sound system is phenomenal. The price for its feature set was $ thousands less than comparable Q5, BMW, Lexus etc. I have the AWD w/ the Technology Package. Gas mileage seems to be what is advertised as I get 24 mpg for mixed driving. I also hit 28 on the highway for my first long range trip.
Cons: I would like to see the tech package include features include lane change detection. It also should have flatter back seats when they are folded down.
Overall review: I read a lot of reviews and test drove key competitors: BMW X3, Audi Q5, Lexus, Toureq etc.. They are all excellent SUV's. I chose the RDX because it was a best buy as it hit all my requirements and cost less.

Great SUV by gregory from Texas on 05/11/2012. Trim: 2013 Acura RDX 6-Spd AT w/ Technology Package, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: Love the v6 power and the transmission is as smooth as they come. Very comfortable and the fit and trim are excellent. Drives like an upscale sedan, not a suv.
Cons: Should have blind spot advoidance
Overall review: I recommend this vehicle

Unless you crave the "BMW cache" of the X-3, here's your car. by domer1976 on 03/31/2013. Trim: 2013 Acura RDX 6-Spd AT w/ Technology Package.

Pros: Size of the car (as compared to my MDX) is very reasonable if you only need 5 passenger seating; quick acceleration with the 3.5 litre V-6; reasonably intuitive technology, Acura durability and dealer service. By contrast, the X-3's technology is complicated to the point of being unusuable. Comes with a conventional spare tire, eliminating the expensive, harsh riding, run flat tires of the X-3. Many more features for the price than its competition, and matches their epa mileage numbers, even with a V-6. Comparatively roomy back seat.
Cons: No hidden storage area large enough to conceal purses, etc. (without optional cargo cover), lacks the handling dynamics of the X-3, and probably some of the cache, to be honest. Limited color selections - again, especially as compared to the X-3. Lack of full maintenance-included warranty. The curved roofline - while a nice design accent - restricts height in the storage area and creates a fairly large blind spot through the small quarter panel windows. As others have noted, rear seats do not fold flat. Lacks the 7 or 8 speed transmissions and towing capacity of its competitors. It's ridiculous that a Subaru Outback has a higher tow rating than a V-6 powered, entry level luxury suv.
Overall review: Very reasonable alternative to the more expensive (when similarly equipped) 4-cylinder powered BMW X-3, the Audi Q5, Mercedes GLK 350 and Volvo XC 60, which are its closest competitors. A standard V-6 engine just seems more appropriate at this price point, though you'd be hard-pressed to tell the difference between a V-6 and BMW's torquey turbo four with its 8 speed transmission. Will probably have better long term reliability than any of its competitors, even though it enjoys a price advantage of thousands of $$ over all of them..

A very well rounded luxury SUV by RDX owner from Seattle on 02/20/2013. Trim: 2013 Acura RDX 6-Spd AT AWD w/ Technology Package, Owned 1 year.

Pros: Acceleration, fuel economy is good for the amount of power available on tap, audio system, superb fit and finish, Honda reliability and re-sale value, overall value for money
Cons: Some cost cutting items that are ridiculous for a ~40K vehicle e.g. no rear seat vents, power liftgate is not adjustable, no passenger seat height adjustment. Available features, overall luxury and cachet prestige are lesser compared to BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Infiniti and Lexus (although these did not affect my decision to purchase this vehicle.)
Overall review: Best value for money if you are looking for a luxury SUV that is really well rounded. The performance of the V6 for this price, combined with very decent fuel economy is my most favorite feature in this car. It is also very reliable and the experience so far at the Acura dealer has been much more cordial and accommodating when compared to my experience with other dealers. Overall I am quite satisfied with my purchase. But if you are looking for a "killer" feature or high prestige in owning a vehicle, look at other options as well. For me, the RDX was a very practical decision I am happy with.
