Stylish, frugal SUV for two by Mitsubishi Diamond in NJ on 10/15/2012. Trim: 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE AWC, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Handling, parking, very stingy on gas usage The 4-wheel drive ,Bluetooth, iPod input, Side/Curtain Airbags, Stability & Traction Control, heated seats, heated mirrors are all standard.
Cons: Better center console arm rest, No locking glove box or valet key.
Overall review: Recently returned from North Carolina Smoky Mountains. We spent $188 on fuel and went close to 1500 miles. I added all the gas receipts and mileage averaged out to 27mpg. That was with luggage, a 40 lb. bag of gold dirt, two adults, a back seat full of outlet store purchases, up and down steep mountain inclines, and one torrential rainstorm. Handled like a champ without any problems. I couldn’t believe how many miles I was able to go before stopping for fuel. The paddle shifters worked beautifully for going up the mountains and down shifting on the decline, with enough power to keep up with traffic on the interstate and passing. The high intensity discharge headlights combined with the driving lights made night navigation a pleasure. After having a full size pickup, various SUV’s this is a joy to own and hope to have it for many years to come. Slight drone of engine but not annoying, and quiets down after your up to speed.

Solid Choice by Ricky on 05/07/2012. Trim: 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE 2WD.
Pros: Styling, built quality, Price
Cons: Please use the Mitsubishi 2.4 engine on this car (Also offer diesel, hybrid, etc.) for the US market.
Overall review: Very agile, if fitted with the 2.4 4 banger, rather than the 2.0 engine, more happy customers in the US (Toyota and Honda pick the 2.4 engine and selling well). Overall Outlander Sport (RVR/ASX) packed with many options as standard (Bluetooth, USB, Paddle Shift, etc.) for a very reasonable. price.

doggyyyyyy by An MSN Autos Consumer on 06/03/2012. Trim: 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE AWC, Owned 1 year.
Pros: great styling, one of the best looking in the class
Cons: this one very, very underpowered lil "ute", storage behind the seat is way to small, road noise is very bad when your manually shifting it because its so underpowered, bounces in the back end alot on bumpy roads and leans really hard around corners wouldnt buy one again also do NOT like the cvt trans especially behind this too tiny motor
Overall review: wouldnt buy again

Under Rated & Under Appreciated by Sam Diamond fromJersey on 11/15/2012. Trim: 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE AWC, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Styling, Driving lights, bluetooth, heated seats, easy parking, the 4wd on the fly, 4 wheel disc brakes, safety features, 18" tires, 8.5" ground clearance, adjustable steering wheel, heated mirrors, seat height just right for easy access and egress, automatic wiper feature. To me it is a fun car to drive, the CVT takes getting used, but the paddles on the steering wheel make up for it.
Cons: Could have a better center armrest and would be nice to have a locking compartment somewhere for valet parking storage.
Overall review: 12,000 miles, 1200 miles on vacation to NC, packed with two suitcases, extras and able to hide all in cargo area. Handled the Smoky Mountain hills with ease and the paddles once mastered worked beautifully. Averaged overall with the added weight @28mpg. Reliable small engine & no trouble passing on mountain roads. Owned a Silverado, Jeep Patriot, Hyundai Tucson & Santa Fe, this beats them all on mileage. Not fast, but not a straggler. Won’t go from 0 to 60 in 6 seconds, but for savings tradeoff no complaints. A sipper, not a drinker, once a week pump fill ups. The Sport is underrated & underappreciated, great value for what you get. Added a tow hitch for those occasional trips to the home center to get plants etc., bike carrier, or carrier for gas cans. Not for a large family, so know what you’re buying before you sign. It will take you through a multitude of bad weather conditions safely. Resale is not a concern, when I’m done with my vehicles resale value is a moot point.

Great Vehicle by Rick on 08/12/2012. Trim: 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport ES 2WD, Owned 1 year.
Pros: This is, without a single doubt, the best value on the market today, period. Drives smooth, great acceleration, great mileage. I still cannot figure why this vehicle has not caught on. We have 39K trouble free miles and out the door for $21,500 and zero percent financing (don't know if that offer still exists),$10,000 less than a Traverse that we were looking at. Do yourself a favor and drive an Outlander and compare.
Cons: My wife complains a bit about wind noise but I don't hear it
Overall review: The best value on the road today for a SUV.
