Wolf In Sheep Clothing by Ricky on 05/10/2012. Trim: 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer GT, Owned less than 1 year.
6
Pros: 2.4 Engine (I got 0-60 in about 7 seconds which equals the new Subaru BRZ!), Styling, Handling, MPG (I get about 32-33 mpg avg city/hwy driving, have 4000 miles on the car). Base stereo with 6 speakers sounds very good.
Cons: Ergonomics in this car very good, but the front seat could be a little more comfortable. Also happy with the Bluetooth, but the USB connection location is not the best.
Overall review: Considering the warranty offered (5 years/60k bumper to bumper and 10 years/100k Powertrain). I believe Mitsubishi (and another name plate) have the best industry warranty offered. This includes 5 year of roadside assistance! Mitsubishi needs to do a better marketing and let more people know about the warranty. This car has CVT and Paddle Shifts and basically the non turbo version of the Ralliart model (with better MPG, Warranty and the same Handling as the Ralliart) I got this car for 17k plus ttl and very happy with my purchase (Amazed with the Avg MPG of 32-33, even when driving 70 and up in the HWY mph ). Mitsubishi: Put the 2.4 engine in the Outlander Sport! Overall very happy with My purchase!

Worthy Alternative by Larry in Monee on 09/08/2012. Trim: 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer ES, Owned 1 year.
1
Pros: Given the price point, there's a lot of features and safety items standard ( knee air bag ). If buying ES, get alloy package which besides rims adds rear sway bar and rear disc brakes, giving the car relatively high handling and braking limits. Also adding bluetooth gets you a voice recognition that always seems to understand you ( Mitsubishi electronics ) and can play your ipod verbally. Fronts seats good, firm but comfortable. Car seats 4 very well with a fold down center rest in back and 5 if the back seat occupants know each other fairly well. Reliability after 16 months and 23,000 miles has been excellent with only an HVAC item being replaced. Standard warranty makes car worth a look.
Cons: Given this price point and cars like Hyundai and Toyota, the interior textures need a redo. As mentioned in other reviews the paint especially on the front chips easily. I purchased and installed car specific 3M, clear panels to protect the paint before it got too bad.
Overall review: Pros outweigh the cons and the cons aren't deal breakers but with this segment full of very good cars it may come down to something like a warranty or like myself a local dealer with a good reputation ( Monee, IL. ) to get you to look at this car, yes I would buy another.

Pretty good car. by Charles from Dallas, Tx on 08/21/2012. Trim: 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer GT, Owned 1 year.
1
Pros: Great styling, handles very well (GTS model), great car for car-pooling/trips, wonderful car for the boy-racer enthusiast yet still fuel consious adult, good pricing, every model has its specific options it comes with.
Cons: Paint chips and scratches easily, CVT transmission is good if you like saving fuel and if you like modern technology but it's definitely not sporty. Even the GTS could use some more power...carrying 4 people on the highway and it struggles hard. It has torque but maybe squeezing 10-15 more HP out of that 2.4L would work wonders. Granted the GTS is no longer a model, the GT now takes its place. Also, resale value is terrible...not sure why but it is so I plan on getting as much use out of this car as possible.
Overall review: I love the car, the GTS/GT has more options than I know what to do with! Great car if you're young at heart and are on a car buying or gas gulping budget.

Economical and Powerful by Bethany on 02/27/2013. Trim: 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer SE, Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: AWC is wonderful, a true 4x4 sedan. Great in the snow. Great Gas Mileage 31-33, even in 4wd mode. Corners great, good pickup for 4 cyl. Seat heaters without leather (std!) 2.4 L makes a difference.
Cons: Bluetooth is a little glitchy, but better than most. USB port in a horrible spot. Bump the AWC button (too close to cupholder)
Overall review: Wonderful. Absolutely amazing handling on this vehicle. It didn't even feel the snow. I gets more gas mileage then the sticker even suggested. Very comfortable and roomy even for a tall girl like myself. I owned a 2008 2.0 version of this vehicle (no AWC), and let me tell you it's the difference between a moderately powered car to a car with dynamite pickup, with little or no loss in gas mileage. Always loved Mitsubishi.
