Ultimate Driving Machine for sure by cbp on 05/21/2012. Trim: 2012 BMW 535i, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Love this car. Went from a 335 to a 535 and the difference is staggering. Comfortable ride yet still handles like a BMW. Great gas mileage. Nothing I don't like about this car. Was concerned that the auto start/stop feature would be annoying, but it didn't take long to get used to turning it off when I start the car.
Overall review: Looked at Infiniti M37, Lexus GS 350, MB E350 and Genesis ..... nothing came close to the BMW 535. Plus their warranty/maintenance plan is second to none. Try it .... you'll fall in love!

BMW 535i misses big in new design by An MSN Autos Consumer on 11/13/2012. Trim: 2012 BMW 535i, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Idrive system is easier to learn and control while driving. The controls are clear and accessible
Cons: 1. Electrical problems with car where battery would drain every night from something electrical running quietly in the background-multiple trips to the dealer could not figure this out -sold car for new Audi A6. A6 is significantlt better in every category including the fun factor. 2. Car drove like myFather's old 1960's Buick-spongy ride and the 535i was difficult to keep running between the lines straight down the hi-way 3. 535i was big physically- yet interior space is smaller than the my new 2012 Audi A6. 4. BMW "Fixed" Navigation system is poor & inflexible-often goes to wrong place-Audi for example uses Google Maps--which is near perfect
Overall review: This review is being written by a diehard 35 year BMW owner who has owned 3 series/5 series/7 series & loved them all until this 535i. This experience of ownng the "newly designed" 535i was so bad that it opened the door for me to try an Audi for the first time ever. The A6 is cooler, more fun to drive and a better fit for the All Weather conditions we face here in the Seattle area. For more on what other professional car writers have said about the 535i -read the March 2012 review in one of the popular car magazines of the 535i after "40k miles of driving." This article co-written by dozens of writers mirror's much of my experience. Next car purchase potentially a Audi 2013 Q5/Q7 for the wife.

The Weak link by Miserable in Colorado on 09/20/2012. Trim: 2012 BMW 550i xDrive, Owned 1 year.
Pros: performance and handling
Cons: the run flat tires are a disgrace. I can't understand how BMW has built a car around such poor tecnology. I have had to replace 5 tires in 15 months. It definetely is the weak link of this vehicle. Since it doesn't have room for a spare tire you have no options. If BMW does not change this tires to something more reliable i will never buy another BMW. I am not confortable taking long road trips because I am concern that this very delicate tires are going to blow and I will be far from a dealer and other tire stores that do not keep them in stock.
Overall review: Great car but the run flat tires have made owning this car a misserable experience

2012 BMW 535 Xi by dgcmd from Ohio on 06/20/2012. Trim: 2012 BMW 535i xDrive, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Comfortable ride, excellent handling, great gas mileage, excellent technology, premium sound system, quiet cabin on the highway
Cons: Navigation system is subpar. The map in my 2012 BMW is at least 3 years outdated based on my last car. Given the price of the vechicle I am disappointed. They need to get away from the TOM TOM navigation and move to Navtech maps which are more current
Overall review: Great car with the exception of the navigation system

Unchanged, Unmatched, The Ultimate Driving Machine!! by M5 on 04/02/2012. Trim: 2012 BMW 535i xDrive, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: BMW has virtually squared the circle by making its new sixth-generation 5-Series sedan bigger, roomier, better-equipped and more refined than ever before, while further improving its standard-setting dynamics. It also looks the part entirely, its elegant lines and chiseled features belying increased girth. The challenge now is to make this sharp new 5-Series as competitive in price as it is on the road against its direct German rivals.
Overall review: Superb handeling & ride :-)
