Excellent Tech heavy family SUV by An MSN Autos Consumer on 06/21/2012. Trim: 2012 Acura MDX 6-Spd AT w/Advance and Entertainment Pkg, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: Just bought this vehicle. We were also considering the Lexus RX and GX. RX was ruled out for lack of 3rd row seat. GX because of handling, value and odd lift gate. This SUV handles very well, even on steep turns. ELS sound system is excellent and as good as Mark Levinson to my ears. Navigation screen is bright and large. Like the Paddle shifters that can be used for quick passing in emergency situations. Seating is comfortable except for third row. Once you get all the technology working, SUV is a pleasure.
Cons: No keyless start. No button to fold Outside mirrors. Second row seats cannot be pulled in front and locked in place to give 3rd row passengers more leg room. Third row is extremely tight and only for kids. Cluttered and confusing array of buttons in dash to operate CD, DVD, Navigation etc. Poor documentation on making all the technology to work in the car, AcuraLink phone data connection only supports certain mobile phones. Iphone, ipod touch integration is unreliable for certain versions of iOS. Homelink technology to operate Garage doors requires you to have a working handheld remote of your garage door to program car. That is an insane requirement.
Overall review: Great SUV with excellent predicted Reliability and good value. Need to be tech savvy to get all of the stuff to work and be prepared for some initial setup pain here.
