The best vehicle choice for families. by Nik on 04/06/2012. Trim: 2012 Honda Odyssey EX-L, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Sophisticated luxury car like ride. Quiet interiors. Comfortable and plush seats. Smooth ride. Modern advanced design inside and out. No fancy fake wood, chrome trim, retro design or silly gimmicks. Spacious interior and voluminous cargo zone unlike crossovers or SUVs. Silent and hushed interiors while driving with minimal road noise. Wide, sleek and ground hugging aerodynamic exterior. Costs less and is more value for money than the competition. Not many on the road hence rare and exclusive.
Cons: A few small plastic items look cheap with rough edges.....a result of cost cutting? Lacks AWD...will probably need an extra set of winter tires and wheels.
Overall review: Excellent vehicle.

A great van you should consider! by DCBoyz4life on 09/09/2012. Trim: 2012 Honda Odyssey EX-L, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Room, Seating, looks, quality!
Cons: Haven't found any so far. The one thing I did notice was that Honda makes you upgrade to higher models to get items offered by competitors in their entry models.
Overall review: Love everything! I have never owned (nor wanted to) own a minivan until I bought the Odyssey. I have seen a lot of great vans that family members have had but I still hated the van curb appeal they had. You either love or hate the looks of this van and I love them. The interior is very roomy and nice, doesn't feel cheap. Can seat 8 extremely comfortablely and has enough storage space for my needs. I have no regrets purchasing this van. If you are considering purchasing one you need to give this van a serious look!

Good family van by Fairfax, VA on 04/22/2012. Trim: 2012 Honda Odyssey EX, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Styling is up to date and interior is nicely done
Cons: Biggest issue, wind noise on the highway and low to the ground = lots of scrapping the pavement. We purchased headlights and the body moldings to go with the car. Honda has you purchase anything additional that doesn't come on the EXL verison.
Overall review: Suggest driving all makes and models before buying this one for your own personal preferences.

A Van that drives like a SUV by MND on 02/14/2012. Trim: 2012 Honda Odyssey Touring, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Just traded in my 2007 Acura MDX for this and the transition is almost seemless. Exactly same equipments with the added benefits of a van. Our kids love the sliding doors, DVD player, etc.etc. I love the handling (surprising for a van) and cool features (rearview camera better than 2007 MDX, power tailgate and off course space). We debated a lot between Sienna and Odyssey when buying, and though the Odyssey is a little overpriced compared to the Sienna, but the handling was too good compared to the Sienna and became the deciding factor. If you want the convenience of a van and still want the driving pleasure of a SUV, this is the one for you.
Cons: 1) Exterior Styling could have been better, particularly the rear windows. I like cleaner lines. 2) Price - Sienna beats Odyssey in price by quite a lot with the exact same feature set. 3) I am getting 14-15 mpg in city, much less than the advertised 19. Hopefully it will improve with more miles on the car. 4) Could have used some wood trim, etc in the interior (at least for the touring model) to make it look and feel expensive. 5) Wish it would come in AWD
Overall review: Overall very satisfied with the car.

If you REALLY want a minivan get the honda...if not, keep looking by No More Minivan for Me on 09/15/2012. Trim: 2012 Honda Odyssey EX-L, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Comfort, drives like a car, flexibility of seating
Cons: It's a minivan
Overall review: If you are looking for a minivan the Honda Odyssey is the way to go. It provides a nice ride, lots of legroom and is super easy for the kids to climb in and out and. I loved the sliding doors and automatic liftgate as well as the amount of space in the trunk. The backup camera is a must. The van is long and wide. It took some time to get used to parking it without being too close to the parking space lines or other vehicles. However, with all that said, I just traded mine in for an Infiniti JX crossover SUV. When I wasn't hauling the family around I hated driving a van. If the thought of driving a minivan makes you cringe on any level I say keep looking. There is an SUV out there that can probably fit your family and lifestyle. I was a former Volvo XC90 driver and just couldn't be converted to the minivan. The Odyssey is a great vehicle though and do recommend it. We rented a Dodge Caravan once and it was a lot less spacious than the Odyssey.
